impossible to do....

i've decided it's impossible
to actually share the love and laughter found at my sister's house on christmas day
but hope these photos will always remind us of the fun we had
~
unfortunately
i don't have photos of the duck hunt
{and john getting taken out by the so called flying duck}
 or the 12 days of christmas sung using the names of beer
{where bill's "good beer" brought us all to tears...of laughter}
or jim's christmas meat or even a photo of myself
{so i put my sister in twice since people say we look alike}
but
i do have new memories and new laugh lines that are extremely deep
~
the day was not long enough
but
we had enough food for a few more families
{hello leftovers}
and
then late last night our packers beat the bears
{talk about icing on the cake to an already perfect day}
*
i hope your christmas was as beautiful as ours.
in some of the photos you can see how brilliant the sun was the entire day and even hot if you were sitting in it.
thank you wisconsin. i loved your warm and green christmas this year.

  1. Oh...it brings back so many memories to me of the vacation we spent in Green Bay one year. It was one of the highlights to our summer; that and Door County!!! Loved that place! We had sunshine here too in California. We haven't had a drop of rain in I can't tell you how long but I think there might be some on the horizon. It looked like you had a glorious day. Why can't we bottle those times for another day? Wouldn't that be incredible? Merry Christmas to you. And much joy in the coming year.

  4. Any day spent with loved ones...with laughter and good food, creating good memories, makes me realize that we could have Christmas any day -- but that we mark that day with something special is truly heart warming. And you need to be less behind the less and in front of it from time to time missy!!! xoxoxox

  8. Sounds like a perfect Christmas day. Thanks for sharing it with us. We had a much more subdued sort of day, since it was just three of us. We drove out along the Columbia River about an hour from Portland and enjoyed Christmas dinner at a beautiful lodge. It was lovely and peaceful, but no leftovers. Sniff!

  9. Oh, Beth. There is no joy like laughing with family. I am so glad you had it. I had my 10 month old niece to cherish and that has been pure delight. The day has flown past, but I had to stop a moment and wish you all the joys of the season. May you be blessed and know it each day. Love you! ~ Relyn

  29. This has to be one of the nicest peeks into a family celebration that I have ever seen! Love all these portraits. I seem to be at my worst during family events...I never manage to get a single shot I like never mind dozens! And the twelve days of Christmas with Beers? You have to tape that one...and I want a copy!
