blessed...

and
when the man who is your father-in-law
has been part of your life since you started
dating his son
when you were 16 years old
and
has always made you feel like you were one of his own
well then
you
are doubly blessed
on father's day
~~
happy father's day
daddy dick
~~
we love you

i love how we inherit a whole new set of sisters and brothers (and parents) when we get married. and yes, i married my high school sweetheart too. we met when I was 14 and we have been together since - it will be 20 years next week :)

  2. Beth, I can see where your honey gets his stellar looks! From his daddy without question.

You are blessed...and well deserved. My new father-in-love is enduring chemo and radiation and the struggle is hard. I really love him and am very worried...so I'll send a prayer of health and longevity to your two Dads while I pray for mine...

    Enjoy this day!

  4. Oh how tightly woven are the strands that bind young lovers and weave a cloak of shared experience that warms them as they grow old together. You're lucky to have a web of family that provides such strength.
