even when there is the deepest of colors
it's the black and white that draws me in
even when there is a compassionate light
it's the darkness that make me feel safe
even when there is a reachable depth
it's the shallowest of surfaces I cling to
even when there is a blinding sun
it's the grey of the clouds that keep me warm
even when there's beautiful music
it's the silence that makes my heart beat
even when there's the feeling of an overwhelming life ahead of me
it's the
 "being alive"
having a life to begin with
that makes
a word I don't want in my dictionary
these words alone don't tell the whole story
so in a few days
I'll share more
so that it all comes together

Hey Aunt Beth, It's Thomas. I was just reading your blog and saw the "post a comment" and I thought that I should just say hi.

  2. The black and white is so lovely here, Beth. Interesting that in this case, I liked it better than the "real" pink in the unaltered shot. Can't wait to see your light and dark thoughts come together.

Here's to no overwhelming today !
    Cheers, Beautiful Beth !

  3. words and images

your words, as always, are so beautiful, so touching.

  6. Your words paint pictures, too. The color flower is lovely. But I fall into that b/w version with a myriad of emotions. It's filled with depth and mystery. And I smile...

  7. You leave us wondering, waiting, wishing for "when it all comes together."

  8. I like the two photos

  9. beautiful pairing of edits. hope it all comes together in the best possible way.

  10. Can't wait to read the next lines.

  11. I love you, my wise friend. Sending up prayers for you. For strength. For joy. For fortitude. For love.

  12. We're all here, Beth. When you're ready, friend.

And we love to celebrate your happiness, but we also want to be here for you during any times of overwhelm.

You are our soul sister. And, we love you so much.

    Peace to your heart, friend.
