and i was wondering what i was going to do today....

all i know
is that i'm not going to look back at what i didn't do
or
should have done
or
could have done differently
~
instead
i'm going to look forward
and
embrace what's waiting for me
~
it might mean having to kick some ugly things off my path
while i skip towards utopia
but
leg exercises are good
and
if i have to sit down and calmly talk to the ugly troll who won't let me cross the bridge
~the one he thinks he owns~
i will
although
i'm sure i can bribe him with the chocolate in my pocket
since it's wrapped in gold foil
~
you know
the more i think about it
moving forward
really is the only way we should ever go
~
no wonder our feet only point in one direction
and
that there's words like
trip and fall and klutz and tangled
when
we forget that

  19. It looks like the horse is communing with you as you take the picture. Moving forward is the best direction to take in my opinion. We can live in the present and be in the now and while doing that we are moving forward.

  20. That's some advice I could use today - moving forward. I have been allowing myself to get mired in the past the last few days. Baby steps for me.

  24. yes. fabulous. you can also use your feet to trip trolls if the bribery thing doesn't work. trolls don't get up quickly and are not very bright and you'll be around the bend before he knows what happened. and wow, btw!

This is a piece of brilliance. I need to borrow it to make a piece of art with it. Will you mind? Is that OK?

  31. Trip and fall and klutz describes me to a "T" - I really messed myself up falling on the 8th of June as I was headed with a friend to a lovely lighthouse hostel on the Pacific coast about 35 miles from home. I guess I was too busy taking photos, rather than paying attention to where I was walking. I had some major soft tissue trauma, then developed cellulitis, which got so bad I've just spent five days in the hospital.

I like your positive words and the wonderful horse.
