trying to decide.....

I've been looking at a number of
photography sites this weekend
and many of them
"left their mark"
on their
with either
a water mark
their name
so I've been playing around
trying to figure out if
I should be doing the same thing
if I need to do it
to protect myself
my clients
{not that the goose really cares}
if anyone has any suggestions
based on blogging
the right and the wrong
the good, the bad and the ugly
please let me know
I'll listen

  1. i like the your wording at the bottom that says beths photography...i just had someone use my photos without my permission and oddl enough i was in the yahoo group and put the kabosh on her using them.....i think it is a great idea and the wording looks great, just like your photography!!!

  2. yes, yes, mark your photography...the world is a wonderful place full of honesty and light, but sometimes, you know, a girl just should use some protection...xo

  3. The bottom one looks great. I have always wondered about this with the art on my website too. Guess you can never be too safe, huh? Great stairs btw.

  4. beth thank you for the 3 beauties your photos are such a treat for the eyes..I will be curious about what you decide on the watermarks

  5. good morning girlie....rise and shine!

  6. Hi Beth!
Regarding the watermark -- I think it's totally up to you but I personally choose not to use them on my blog. I feel it takes away from the look of the blog, plus my photos are not high-resolution enough to be copied and printed. Just a thought. Let me know what you decide to do.

Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for your gorgeous poem that you left on my blog -- what a gift!

  7. Hi, Beth, it's so good to be back!

I have seen the watermarks, too, and I suspect if I was a photographer who might actually want to sell something (outside of my little craft shows when I do the cards with photos), I'd probably want to mark it. As it is, I don't worry about it, because I don't like the look on my blog so much as I do just plain.

But having said that, if I was planning on really working with them outside, I would certainly think about it. And I liked the one at the bottom with Beth's Photos. Although, I suppose someone could crop that out easily enough if they were ratty enough to use your work in the first place...

**I love reading the comments you leave, as they make me feel like we're sitting in my kitchen, having a cup of tea, discussing life and wondering where all the time has gone ...beth
