we drove to an art fair yesterday, that isn't until next saturday.oops.
ate the best chicken salad sandwiches for lunch.
won a mean game of bean bag toss that i think my future son-in-law "threw" just so i could win.
checked out a wedding reception venue.
found three heart shaped rocks.
laughed as a beach goer photo bombed my photo. twice. then his wife yelled at him.
stopped for a glass of wine at a winery on the way home.
~
today the deck is getting stripped. it's cool and cloudy outside. in other words, simply gorgeous.
tonight the olympics end.
~
a big thank you, to the amazing athletes for keeping us completely entertained for the past two weeks. michael phelps, we can't take our eye off you. you'll be missed in rio. you deserve to be the most decorated olympian ever and if you change your mind and want to come back, that's okay.
~
when swimming was over, we fell in love again with misty and kerri and misty can say that she's done, but if she shows up with michael in rio, we'll be smiling.
~
i hope that your weekend has been full of love and laughter

Beth what exquisite shots. It looks like you had a most amazing moment.
ReplyDeletesounds like you've had a full weekend...and going to the art fair..that wasn't (until next weekend!) gave you the opportunity to have this experience instead. Life is good.
ReplyDeleteFamily moments...beautiful how you capture them, beth. (we drove quite a distance to a festival yesterday...that wasn't!)
ReplyDeleteLovely photos... But of course. :-)
ReplyDeleteAlso love how your Darling Daughter chose to dress, for an afternoon outing. Oh-my-yes! If only more young women would follow suit.
Found 3 heart shaped rocks! What a coupe! I'd certainly take that, as some sort of a lovely sign. I would. I would. I would.
Gentle hugs,
"Auntie"
Oh and....... How brave of you... To choose to not bother with caps.
ReplyDeleteI've tried this, at times. But it never seems to work for me. Actually, I'm pretty sure that it's just not done-properly-by-me. Or some such. ,-)
No caps looks fine here, with your all white background, and small and gray type. Perhaps that's the secret.
Or....
But...
As I somehow surmise...
It's one of those things, which some people have the style to get-away-with. And some do not. Needless to say, which category we each fit into. ,-))))
Gentle hugs,
"Auntie"
Could it be that the next generation is also drunk on love?
ReplyDeleteStopping by from Amanda's....what beautiful pictures you have! After swimming was over we too fell in love with Misty & Kerri. I'm sad Misty is finished but am looking forward to watching Kerri in Rio!
ReplyDeleteLoved this series of pics... and life.. is definitely good :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the look of your weekend! All of it ~
ReplyDeleteFinding heart-shaped rocks...ah...those romantic young love days and the equally romantic having spent the majority of my life with you days.....great, great picture of your hubby!
ReplyDeletesoooooo beautiful,
ReplyDeletea patchwork of love:)

Your peeps look all glowy with love, fun and comfort ! Yummy !
ReplyDeleteLove and light to you, gorgeous !
Did you stomp any of those fabulous looking grapes into wine? Great photos!!
ReplyDeleteWisconsin River? Not familiar with the wine you featured in your photo. Looks like a nice weekend despite the cloudy conditions today.
ReplyDeleteThat close-up of the grape bunch? Yowza! I can feel, smell and almost taste them! Bravo!
ReplyDeletei am especially loving THREE heart rocks ... one for each daughter/DIL and one for you ...
ReplyDeletelovvvve those three heart-shaped rocks! and i have a great mental image of the woman yelling at her oblivious husband...thanks for the laugh!
ReplyDeleteThoroughly enjoyed the olympics too. Last night watching the re-caps of so many of the stories I had a constant lump in my throat. Truly inspirational.
ReplyDeleteOoohhh, love the ones of the grapes and wine. Such pretty pics, as usual, Beth!
ReplyDeleteTotally fell in love with misty and kerri. What a great weekend, including the bean bag toss.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful time. Isn't that the best, being with people you love and just playing? I loved the Olympics, too. Not all of it, but lots of it!
ReplyDeleteFuture son in law throwing the game?
ReplyDeleteSmart dude!
The black and white of your husband is a really great shot.
What a fun weekend...love it!
ReplyDeleteHow sad is it that my mouth watered at the picture of the grapes???
I'm with you about Misty and Michael. I would love to see them again in four years. We had fun watching, too. I'm amazed at the platform divers and the synchronized divers. Pretty cool. Wonderful photos here. That turquoise ceiling is pretty. Kind of sad though that no one's home. Have fun this week!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a perfect, perfect, weekend... what more could we ask for than love and laughter?
