scared him right off my neighbors roof

just like this heron, i hope you get a running start to whatever it is that will keep you busy this weekend. we'll be playing games and sleeping in late, grilling and reading, baking cookies {and eating them} and as always, dancing.

three days of anything and nothing. i love weekends like that.

Now that sounds like a fabulous weekend, especially the dancing!! I'll be working the next two days, but get to attend a UT football game and meet with my writing group, and then Monday I'm free with NO PLANS! Love it!
ReplyDeleteFabulous shots of this heron Beth! And a nice segue into the running start on the long weekend ;) Sounds like you have some enjoyment lined up. Evan has gone to Ottawa, Liam leaves for Hamilton either Sunday or Monday so I'm still going to be organizing and shopping...and then taking time to just "breathe" -- alone, in the house...just me (until Al gets home at night! *snort*). Enjoy xo
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly how I am spending my weekend!!! Enjoy! xo
ReplyDeleteNeat! Love how his coloring is so similar to the greys of the sky behind him. Just awesome!
ReplyDeleteOMG. I would love that, too. And although I have some chores planned, that is exactly what I plan on doing as well. xo (love the heron)
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing visitor!!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the sweet family time, Gorgeous One!
Beautiful captures with an interesting spin to what is to come.
ReplyDeleteThose are the best kind of weekends. Just out looking at the moon. I think that is what I will do this weekend evenings.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! I love herons and egrets.
ReplyDeleteIt's always nice when they actually stay put as you creep a little closer.
Enjoy your weekend!
Wonderful shots...I would be thrilled to catch a heron OUT of water. Loved this post.
