can i ask for more prayers.....

this weekend, we watched in horror, just like everyone else did, the stage collapse at the indiana state fair. indiana was our home for 8 years and no matter where we live now, pieces of our hearts will forever remain there.
~
i am terribly saddened today to find out that our indiana friends {who now live in ohio} were seriously injured in the collapse.
my friend jill and her daughter jaymie are now in stable condition, but it looks like a long recovery will be ahead of them. from what i have heard, jill has a collapsed lung and a crushed pelvis. jaymie, two broken legs and a skull fracture.
~
i have been blessed by all of you when i personally needed your prayers. do you think today you can send some more. this time for jill and jaymie.
~
thank you so much

  5. this was frightening to see. i do hope your friends have a full recovery. how old is jaymie? i'm only guessing here, but i would the think the younger, the better for a skull fracture.

  7. Your friends are in my prayers. Tonight is ladies' bible study and fellowship at our church, would you mind if I put them on our prayer list? ~No last names required~ We will storm the heavens as we lift them, their family and friends up.

We're going through our own hardship in this household and while we don't yet know what God's plan is, I find peace knowing that "all things God works for the good of those who love him" (Romans 8:28) and that while our "10 minutes of turbulence" might seem like a long, hard journey, the end result will be much greater than we ever imagined.

  9. It was even on our news here in Canada :( I lived in Indianapolis for a year, so it felt close to my heart too..... It's the only state fair that I've ever been to. We had a large stage collapse at a similar event here (in Ottawa recently). Luckily no one was killed....
