did you know
i can be dramatic
but
in a way that will make you laugh
~
did you know
i forgive easily
but
probably won't ever forget what you did or said
~
did you know
i consider myself ordinary
but
will use big words sometimes when i talk
just to throw you off a bit
~
did you know
i easily forget if i locked the door behind me
but
will remember the phone number
to the plumber
i called once
three months ago
along
with his name
license number
where his children go to school
and
the last book he read when he was having a slow day
*
because
the black and white photos
i've been taking recently
have settled comfortably into my heart
i decided to let them stretch out a bit
and
gave them
~

omg, hail!?!? Crazy. It hit 90 here yesterday then stormed like a dickens last night. Much cooler today but I'm headed out to AF, so it can do whatever it wants for the next 6 days.
It seems that texture is more vivid with b&w. Friendly looking swing!
I caught the b&w bug from you. I was tickled when I discovered that setting on my Nikon. Good deal that my fellow bloggers have inspired me to investigate my camera and environs. I'm a happy camper with my finds!
this picture reminds me of my childhood. i played for hours on my two tire swings- each side of the tree. your photo is great. and i love the new site for all your black & white photos. hope all is well. have a great day.
I didn't know...thanks for sharing. ;)
Ohhhh...loving your new home. xoxo
My kind of girl ;-)
Bravo Beth. You are truly a word-Smith. Sorry to hear about your hail! Mother Nature is feeling testy I'd say wouldn't you?___=^..^=___Kittie
this is kinda freaky...but i almost did a post just like this today and then changed my mind last minute, and one of the things in it was how I remember telephone numbers. doo.doo...doo.doo
another bit of blogger love out today...chrome plug in for dynamic views! i just added it since i always use chrome.
I learn something new (and curious) about you every post, Beth. I like what I know...
We have a tire swing.... Rowdy pulls on the rope and makes it swing. The dog would probably jump in and take a swing if he could.

Lovely writing and beautiful photo! I love how you caught the shadow too.
What the hail? Yea, this weather has been noticeably disconcerting. (See, I threw in a big word for you.) Now I'll even go more out on a limb to tell you that after teaching today, I took a nap and dreamed that I was holding Helen Keller's hand...when she was 2 1/2 years old. And in my dream I knew this was amazing and knew that she was once a famous older woman...but didn't GET that this couldn't be real somehow...I need someone to explain this to me!!! Can you, beth?!
love the new place. pretty sweet digs.
and i kinda think you are the bees knees.
I would like that to be my back yard.
Hi Beth, You new blog is beautiful and that first photo about the snow-- priceless.
I'm like you-- I forgive but I never forget. Oy.

My memory is fading, the older I get! I remember the most bizarre things but not what I need to remember.
Wow.. that must have been some plumber...
things I didn't know... but i can see you, chatting with the plumber, getting all that info. you're so good with people.
off to check out your new place!
i learned more about you friend ... so now you have 3 blogs ? wow!
Nice!
I love learning these kinds of quirky things about my favorite bloggers. It makes me feel closer to you, for some reason. Happy spring, friend. Hail or not, she's here. Yes?
:) there go you
What a fantastic black and white space you have created Beth! So simple and striking. Beautiful!
And I keep looking at that tire swing..the rope is so long...can you imagine how high you could go??
