it's not really a little house. it's a log cabin.
it's not really on a prairie. it's on a huge lot with overgrown pine trees.
and
it's for sale
we don't want the log cabin
but the land would be amazing
it sits far off the beaten path
so every now and then we stop by
just to visit
the cabin really needs to be pushed over and made into firewood
but
the handmade porch with the tree growing in the middle of it is pretty sweet
even with our miserable spring
life is growing at the neglected cabin
{does anyone else see a heart in the flowers above}
funny isn't it
how plants grow and make us feel alive
even when deep down
we feel a bit stunted
from what winters left behind

Beautiful images, love the one of the wheel up against the tree . . . . and I love the deck with the tree in the middle, I've always wanted one like that.
ReplyDeleteso are you trespassing or invited visitors? :) don't be getting shot, now, ya hear?! oh yeah. you're in wisconsin, not texas. folks might be less trigger-happy up there...

ReplyDeleteI can't believe you are saying there is an old log cabin on your potential property that you don't want! You are the old building photo queen. Of course, different to shoot one than be in it! Lovely images, beth. (We have sun today!)
ReplyDeleteI had to post another comment because you'll never believe it. My verification word was cabio. Close!
ReplyDeleteOK -- the last one was "micro." Is it a "Micro Cabio?"
ReplyDeleteOK -- no matter what the word, I'll stop now!
So true... but I am still feeling the aliveness in that first picture- oh my drooling over the color and composition of it and yes, I see why that piece of land would satisfy all in itself... sigh...
ReplyDeleteYes, and it's a very good thing they do.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing these signs of Spring!
I see the heart! You have some really nice shots here!
ReplyDeleteSpring always gets me in trouble as I tackle all those projects I've been thinking about all winter. I'll probably hear "You know you shouldn't be doing that with your messed up back!" times a week but it just feels so good to get out of the house! I see the heart!
ooooo! I see the heart. It's like those hidden pictures my daughter gets.... but better! thanks for sharing such gorgeous shots; you should buy the land.... then we can all come visit :)
ReplyDeleteJust Beautiful.. Give me a log home and Id fix it up and the land. Wow your flowers are just stunning. So glad to be along.
ReplyDelete...I certainly did see the heart! Love the potos and I can't blame you for falling in love with the place! Great porch!
ReplyDeleteI would love a place like that...OMG...the land! Gorgeous photos my dear!
ReplyDeleteEveryone needs their own little piece of heaven! It would be so rewarding to make this yours don't you think? Real estate is still a solad investment( don't cut your throat with high payments) The sacrafices are sooooo worth it!..Go-4-IT, I say !___=^..^=___Kittie
ReplyDeletespring is the surprise for surviving the winter i guess. it's beautiful and serene..well, until april when the tornadoes start here.
ReplyDeletelove the wild hyacinth
Love these images and that teeny tiny purple heart. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteoh Beth, I wanna sit on that deck with you....such BEaUtiful shots
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful site. Your flower captures are lovely. In n. WI, spring is being a bit more elusive. Things aren't flowering here, but there are buds :)
ReplyDeleteI love how they built around the tree instead of chopping it down to use as building material! True tree huggers, for sure. :)
