my pond...

okay
it's not really my pond, but that's what i call it
and
after a sleepy winter and a terribly long and icy spring
that prevented me from getting near it...
well
i'm back
and
so are my turtles and my herons and my geese and my ducks
~
okay
they're not really mine
but
i wish they were
*
if you want to see more glorious {and i mean glorious} shots from the pond
{yep i'm totally bragging on myself here}
head over here for a black and white extravaganza

i think it's neat that your turtles don't have any algae on them - ours keep it year 'round - i guess because the warmer temps here. :)

Beautiful capture of the turtle. Mine duck and run... well, dive and swim under too fast for me to get a good one.

Wow, I can't tell you when was the last time I've even seen a turtle, and that comment alone makes me wonder about our eco-systems. Thanks for sharing 'your' turtle with me, Bethie....

Gorgeous shots of your pond and your turtles and your birds. I just loved everyone of them. As far as I am concerned it is your pond because I don't know differently.

I tend to take ownership of my neighbors tree's, houses, and whatever else catches my fancy to photograph. Luckily I've got loving neighbors or else they would call the cops on me laying down under their tree's to snap the PERFECT picture...

Oh - I know exactly what you mean. I - too - have a pond that I claim as my own. All of its waters.its wildlife..its trees!!!
