journey should be a word with all capital letters...

there was a new voice
which you slowly recognized as your own
that kept you company
as you strode deeper and deeper into the world
determined
to do the only thing you could do~
determined
to save the only life you could save

i've been living on wild mushroom and rosemary naan that my hubby has perfected and honestly it should be on a menu in a swanky restaurant somewhere. it's that good. my sunglasses have been getting a workout. gallons of lemonade with fresh lemon slices have been disappearing from my refrigerator. my legs smell like self tanner. i'm worried about my favorite beach in the panhandle. i had my eyes tested and i'm still 20/20 which according to my doctor is quite impressive. and today i'm being lazy. summer does that to me.

  1. Oh I wish for lazy summer days. It is like winter here still, but I am hopeful for sunshine. Maybe the sun will come next week.

Love the quote and the naan sounds amazing.

  5. good reason to worry unfortunately. it's devastating to wait in agony while we find out what happens. *sigh*

i would rather eat yummy naan and drink homemade lemonade.

  6. You know I love me some Mary Oliver!

It's been so hot since we returned to Georgia, and if there is a way to OD on lemonade, you can bet I'm on my way there! :)

What's your fave beach in the panhandle? PCB?

I prefer Clearwater, a little farther south. Have you ever vaca'd there? Ooooh, but you should!

  9. First, that recipe needs to be posted. Although I'm not sure exactly what a naan is, I want it.

Second, I love homemade lemonade. Love love love.

Third, that is super spectacular about your eyes. My husband gets disgusted that I can read a book without glasses. And I'm 53!!

  22. would love the naan recipy. think you have enough requests to let us have it.

love mary oliver. her words always hit the mark.

as for the oil thing, hopefully we have learned what a mess oil makes and will now look harder for other means. we always need tragedy to turn our ways. it's the way humans work, regardless of the fact that it would be easier to simply learn from theory, we need the experience, and sometimes not even that opens our eyes.

enjoy the summer days, we are all wrapped up for winter. it might be a small world, but it does not take many steps to see how it differs.
