when you see something you love...

get a closer look
and
see if it loves you back
~~
this past weekend we had to take a detour on our way home
which ended up being a blessing
as
we came across an old home
obviously abandoned
with a tiny aging "for sale" sign in the front yard
and
lots of outbuildings
that all pulled at my heartstrings
but
for some reason
~maybe because we're idiots~
we just kept on driving
~~
on monday
~after dreaming about this little piece of heaven sunday night~
I jumped in the car and went exploring
and
my instincts were right
it was love at first sight
~~
so
today
I have another senior photo shoot
and
guess where we're going
?
and
another house I'm in love with

  4. Don't they just make you wonder? Is that their charm, do you suppose? That they make us step outside of what we know and wonder about others and the lives they had?

  12. My husband and I love old houses, too. This one just sort of fell into our laps, and we have counted ourselves lucky every day since we moved in. It was much like that one, just waiting for someone to love it.

  13. This one is really charming. It'll be the perfect photo shoot! Good thing you'll be leaving Wisconsin, or I think that for sale sign might have come down!

  14. I love old homes. In my neck of the woods they're usually old homesteader's log cabins. Can't wait to see your "senior" shoot......I can visualize the romance already!
