slow down
actually go ahead and stop
~~
if you're participating in the kindness swap that armani
a.k.a. pixiedust
is hosting
don't go any further or you'll ruin the surprise
~~
the rest of you blog lovelies
well
you're safe
the kindness swap is all about sending love and encouraging thoughts
to someone
~~
most likely
a complete stranger
because who doesn't need a hug
?
so I took out some of my 4x6 photos
and
some goodies from my pile of ephemera
{thank you teesha moore}
and
my stamps and card stock
and
mixed them all together with some kinds words
and
created my postcards
~~
just so you know
I totally and completely
loved every single minute of being in my studio
~that has been a stranger of late~
making a mess and getting glue all over my fingers
on a perfectly sunny day
~~
soon
armani
will be addressing the cards and sending them onward
and
lucky me
I'll get three sent to me from other participants in the swap
~~
hugs in the form of handmade postcards
waiting quietly in your mailbox
are a really good thing
don't you think
?
click on the photos if you want a close up of my postcard making talents
~and the quotes are all by... who knows~
These are just great--you should sell them. I have so much trouble finding good cards in the stores. I hope that you enjoy the hugs as they arrive in your mailbox.

I LOVE YOUR POSTCARDS!!! THESE ARE SOOOO WONDERFUL!! You inspire me to make some of my own... I'm curious... Are the photos just on regular photo paper? Did you attach them to another paper so they could be written on the back and also to make it a little more sturdy for sending?
ReplyDeleteWOOT!! Beth is back in her studio!!!! WOOT WOOT! meanwhile, the Beth-isms? way good ... and I LOVE making mail art, especially post cards, only what I do is put on my mail art bandit cape, slide a roll of masking tape up my arm, then go tape postcards everywhere -- on grocery carts, by gas pump handles, on the front of drive-up bank ATMs ... hadn't heard of this swap but what FUN.
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous, Beth. I'm especially loving the 'Belive' card with the black bird. funfunfun. And a great idea for a swap. :)

ReplyDeleteHi! What a cool idea- and how wonderful to recieve some of your art as well as some inspiration! I loved your comment about Oprah- I have a love-hate relationship going with her (but adore Nate); she often acts too snooty for my taste. Have a good weekend~
