but I didn't...

I could have walked right by this iris waving amongst hundreds
but I didn't
instead I slowly stopped with a curious eye
~~
I could have taken a wide lens shot of all of them
but I didn't
as she was the one that grabbed my hand and said "hello" to me first
~~
I could have looked down at her
but I didn't
instead I squatted so I could be face to face with her
~~
I could have played with her photo when I got home
but I didn't
because she whispered to me
that she likes herself just the way she is
~~
I'm hoping today you're liking yourself just the way you are
too

  10. just beautiful. irises used to be my favorite flower. i still like them. i've noticed they are starting to bloom recently. i am hoping to get some shots—especially of the bearded irises, which i like the most.

  11. Flowers seem to possess such confidence, don't they? We can definitely learn great things from them.

  12. stunning. it's hard to take a bad shot of any iris, have you noticed? they're SUCH photogenic flowers and usually happy with themselves as it, like your new friend said.

  14. I do, thank you. It has nothing to do with me, though, and everything to do with the people who like me. People like you remind me to like me, too. Just the way I am.
