I'm not really a blueberry girl at all
as far as just grabbing a handful and eating them
but
a certain cake I make
which needs to be stacked high with fresh fruit as the topping
always includes blueberries
and
then I'm alright with them
~~
only because
I know they're good for me
~~
and
they look cool
you know what else they're good for
?
photography
~~
so
"what are you eating and shooting today"
?
~~~~~~
of course if you live in the hills of kentucky it's more like
"what are you shooting and eating today"
with a wild turkey as a possible answer
~~
hey
we used to live on the kentucky border and I love that state
the people
and
their accents
so I can say things like that
~~
can't I
?
how would you say "i adore you" with a kentucky...kentuckian? accent? i love how you can take blueberries and go from there to kentucky accents so smoothly! :)
ReplyDeletenot so sure i have ever even been through kentucky, will have to add it to my list!
me? soon i will be eating left over chinese... no shoots will be heard from my camera today... just not feeling it today. ;)
xo
i am very much a berry girl - be it blueberry, strawberry, boysenberry, or raspberry. I could just live on all the gorgeous summer fruits and berries out there. unfortunately we get them very rarely out here.
ReplyDeleteI prefer all the red berries me-self, true story, especially in the form of COBBLERS, which (funny enuf) I first sampled on a white water rafting trip in KENTUCKY!! so they can shoot and eat AND make a killer cobbler.
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful to photograph. I took lot's of shots yesterday...I posted a collage on my new blog today. But now I want some blueberries ;)
ReplyDeletethese shots are amazing, beth!
ReplyDeletethis is a new subject from you that i love. more more more. love the fruit photos. what else you got???
you actually made my mouth water for blueberries ! I love raspberries best of all the berries, but as you said, blueberries are rocking your photos !
ReplyDeleteabout to eat leftover lemon cheesecake with raspberries drizzled on top - leftovers from the home made birthday cake I made for a dear friend's visit last night - I sent her home with a hunk but save a piece for myself too ! Mmmm...
shooting myself ! sp wednesday struck me again this am - I really love the shots I got of myself today !
here's to kentucky, to eating and shooting and you !
Cheers !
While I was reading i was eating blackberries, yogurt and bran for breakfast. I am a berrie girl, I love your photos yet once again. I have never taken any photos of fruit and i have never went shooting turkeys. We must live a sheltered life up here in Canada. Take Care my friend, cinner
ReplyDeleteThe close-up of the blueberries make them look totally different...like eyballs...alien eyeballs perhaps? But I could use some freshly picked eyeballs right now.
ReplyDeletefrom blueberries on cake which i adore to shootin' them I was with you all the way!...beth have I told you latly how wonderful you are? you are!
ReplyDeleteMy dear, you may say anything you like and I will like hearing them. Ah juz' know ah will....
ReplyDeletei'm with you on the berry thing... eat them 'cause they're good for you..... when I remember that is, but would definetly eat them on cake! Yum!
ReplyDeleteain't nothing but a thing.
p.s. i am so excited for september! did i mention that already?!?
xoxoxo
You know I'm a born and raised Kentucky gal, right? True Story! Some of the accents are funny, though, they seem thicker here in Georgia.
ReplyDeleteSmall town life there is just that. But, the scenery is amazing. I've been to several states, and Kentucky really is one of the most beautiful!
Never ate Wild Turkey. Did shoot it, though I prefer Kentucky's Maker's Mark. Smoother. Not a big fan of bourbon or whiskey. Haven't tried any in years...
:)
Ha! I think you can say that since you lived there. I do the same with with Oklahoma since I'm a native.
ReplyDeleteThese shots are delicious!
gorgeous shots!!!! love them
ReplyDeleteI AM a blueberry girl & this had my mouth watering!
ReplyDeleteI love blueberries, too. Mostly because my little girl has blueberry eyes. I swear they are that same lovely, mottled blue.
