slowly we go...

while looking up...
now that our days are
described as
"with a chill in the morning air"
our shadows will become long and stretched out
almost to the point where the image of who we are will disappear
~~
so
look up instead

As much as I hate to see Summer fade away, this is my most favorite time of year...such fantastic sleeping weather, too...xoxo

Lovely picture. For some reason I am looking forward to fall this year. Usually I am sad for summer to leave, but I am enjoying the chill in the morning air.

Wish I didn't have to agree with you, but alas, a chill is indeed in the air. Great shot regardless and sunny days now have a goldenness to them that only happens this time of year, we renew our perspective yet again!

These colors give me peace rigt this moment Beth. How do you get your pics so large on your blog. Whenever I try that, only half will show??? Thanks for letting me see long shadows, whites and greens. My favorite colors of all.

I love Fall ! October baby !

It is easy to look up instead of down at the shadow...the visions of fall colors against the blue, blue sky remind me of who I am.

So in love with the world today. And kind of in love with me in it too !;)
Big hugs, beautiful beth !

Up, down, all around. I like the way the light plays with us in every season, though when it plays hide and seek, it gets me a little annoyed.

in fall and winter, the sky (if it's not cloudy) is the most amazing crisp blue - I fall in love with it and the chill in the air.

happy day

I've yet to experience a chill in the air. Summer is still hanging out with me, at least as far as the weather is concerned.

I'm ready to wear some fall clothes, make myself feel good.

Lovely post, as always.

Very lovely picture...this is a special time of year in the San Francisco area....crisp, clear days and wonderfully cool nights, not much fog - spectacular vistas, of course, of ocean and sky!

No chill here though! 100 today. I guess we can still look down at our shadow!

The sun still shines gently on the branches, at least for a little while. Enjoy it before it disappears for winter.
