Oh Beth, how awful......we are all praying for your family.
ReplyDeleteAh, lucky you were in the hospital then. Not much other than surgery for that nasty append(age). Hoping everything is fine, that she is up and about quickly. It's amazing what they expect from surgical patients these days - not much lazing around after.
ReplyDeleteSo terrible that it happened but it does sound like she will be okay so that's good! I'll be thinking about you both today.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh so so sorry. It could be so much worse...glad it's only the appendix! Wishing your daughter a rapid recovery and you some peace...
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear your daughter is sick. If you need to talk with anybody I'm an e-mail away. I've had my appendix removed and understand what your daughter is going through. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your daughter today. Here's hoping she'll have a quick recovery.
ReplyDeletesending love and light to you and your family, beth. xx s

ReplyDeleteWhy must those darn appendixes be so problematic? I mean, Get over yourself, Appendix! Gah!!
Much love to you both!
Oh, Beth, there's hardly anything scarier than dealing with all of that and of course at night I think it feels worse ... prayers for her quick and smooth recovery.
ReplyDeleteHaving lived through parenting one of those "residents playing doctor"...my feelings run this way...if I ever encounter one now, I ask "When have you last eaten, or rested? Here take this apple, or cookie, or smashed up yogurt bar." Think of it this way, it's like parenting for the first time ... you've just got to do it and get your hands dirty and learn along the way...and usually on little sleep or good nutrition or a gentle hug to bolster your confidence when you are often scared (and can't show it) to do or say anything for fear of the one mistake that will hurt, really hurt. They need some mothering along the way and a kind word on anything they've done that's been helpful, and a reminder that they need to just breathe deep 1x q hr.
I'll say a prayer for a quick recovery!
ReplyDeleteOh no! I'll be praying for her healing. And your strength. And comfort for you all. But especially for sweet hubby whom this has to be killing.
ReplyDeleteWishing your daughter a speedy recovery. Please try to get some rest, you, your daughter, and the rest of your family will be grateful.
ReplyDeleteAren't hospitals the most infuriating places?
Oh indeed it truly was frightening! But at least you had some cute doctors around to divert your attention temporarily.
ReplyDelete;)
I'm glad she is doing so well.
Hugs to you.
