thanks to my great friend kathy
who happens to be the queen behind valley ridge art studio
I have a new love in my life
~~
I met up with her on tuesday at a tea house that I've never been to before
and
wow
was I smitten
~~
and
now you're probably hoping that I have pictures to show from our 3 hour talk fest
right
?
well since my brain was all damp and foggy from the rain coming down in sheets
that's going to be my excuse for leaving the house camera-less
~~
BUT
yesterday I went back and took my hubby with me so I could show him my new love
and
I did have my little point and shoot with me
which we goofed around with while drinking our tea
~~
the
tea room
I picked for us
is in the front window of the tea house overlooking the street
and
it's dressed in silky fabrics in shades of magenta and aubergine and lots of pillows and cushions and
the ceiling is silky
too
and
of course
to be in any of the rooms you have to be barefoot
~~
SO COOL
{can you feel my love}
~~
so we drank tea and ate little cookies and I wrote in my purse journal and he answered some emails
and
we smiled
~~
{kim and julie....guess where I'm taking you this summer}
oh wow, it looks fantastic!! rather moroccan or some such exotic place. don't you love to be transported right in your own town?
ReplyDeletep.s. love the new header. :-)
I would love to drink tea there. The colours and the layout are just wonderful. I imagine sitting there reading a book and not wanting to move all day :-)
ReplyDeleteYou know what's really amazing is that you are a woman who is lucky enough to introduce your 'old, trusty' love to this brand new one and everyone got along!
ReplyDeleteHow many women are lucky enough to have a male partner who would have been happy to go along to a tea room and spend some time with their gal?
Life is good, indeed!
love the photo collage-that place looks lovely!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Beth,
ReplyDeleteGreat colours in the room you chose and that mosaic mirror! I hope they serve coffee as well though, cos I don't drink tea!
I am thrilled to death that Macha's is your new favorite love. Maybe I should focus on becoming a matchmaker.... haha. Nothing more heartwarming that to share an afternoon with Beth in a tea house. and I want an invite along with Julie and Kim this summer.

ReplyDeletei just took about 200 pictures a couple of weeks ago—all of my favorite tea. well, tea, cup, and tea pot. but still, 200? that's a lot. that's how many i have to take in order to get five or six really good ones. :)
Wow - that place looks amazing. Like places I visited in India. Think I'm gonna open one just like that here!
ReplyDeleteAnd you are blessed to have such a wonderful man who'll sit happily with you and let you write in your journal - can you see I'm turning a bit green with double-envy on this one?!
OOO- that sounds wonderful! Don't you love when you find cool places you can share?
ReplyDeleteThis would be heavenly. Hint, hint. Road trip for the families to meet this summer. ; )

Wow, that's the coolest tea room I've ever seen! And, I love your little collage of pictures. Aubergine is one of my favorite words. :)
ReplyDeleteMe, too. Me, too. I wanna go with you. It sounds like a soul place.
ReplyDeleteIt's an aside, but what a gorgeous couple you two make.
Oh the inspiration, Beth...
ReplyDeleteWouldn't life be even sweeter if you got to spend your days at such a mystical spot?
I love it!
