I DIDN'T EDIT THEM
~
go ahead
pick your jaw up off the floor
~
I know
I can hardly believe it myself
what I did do though
was to follow the sun around my house
~
the plant is on our kitchen table
and
was taken around
9 AM
~
the misty mawn original
was taken around
3 PM
and
the books on our coffee table
I shot around
4 PM
~~~~~
as a photographer
and
wow am I going to use that term loosely
I get bored easily
which I'm sure has beeen obvious as this winter drags on
so I'm doing what I can to mix things up a little
~
stay tuned
maybe tomorrow I'll try taking photos with my eyes closed
The light is gorgeous! And, I'm reading that same book!
ReplyDeleteWell done, as usual!!
ReplyDeleteNatural light photography is my favorite!
I experimented with this & self-portraits yesterday. I will get it online ASAP. Man, I miss my USB cord. It went MIA when we moved.
;)
I love how the light changes and all throughout the day too. Anne Tyler? I have not read her in years! And in regard to my post...oops- it's cold here too, but I can dream, can't I? And it is officially spring tomorrow so I am sure there is spring-like weather SOMEWHERE ...just not in the midwest!
ReplyDeletei love love love the book shot!
ReplyDeleteway to capture the light and i like the tree photo on your banner today very cool. kt
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea ...i love the way misty's artwork is captured by a ray of light ... inspired to try that ..following the the sun as it wanders about my house..cant wait
The tones as a result of the natural light in the last photograph are wonderful :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat experiment! Lovely photos! and I love that Ann Tyler book. I think the main characters name was Delia?
ReplyDeleteawwwwwwwww. i love that the sun hits that painting.
ReplyDeletei am reading Anne Tyler, too!
Hey? it's officially spring, yay!!!! GOODBYE winter!
xoxoxo
have a wonderful weekend!
Light and shadows. The interplay in our lives. The snow of spring, pure perplexity. The promise of unseen things to come. Taking photos with eyes closed.
ReplyDeletebeautiful light..i have one for you - in college my professor taught intro to video class using tai chi movements. the students held the camera at their waist to shoot - some magical images were found that way.
ReplyDeleteYou have stolen my heart with this post, sweetie. What is that beautiful pic in the frame??
I know if I started editing my photos, I would never be able to stop. Thus I don't learn how to Photoshop, etc. To each his/her own on that, of course. I do love the way objects look at various time of day.
Well, I for one am delighted you didn't edit these! The light is fabulous and I love watching it move -- it takes on a different tone, doesn't it? And these are all simply lovely.
ReplyDeleteInteresting, isn't it, how we get a new "thing" (a program, a technique, etc.) and we want to do everything with it because it's just so darned fun we can't NOT do it. But there are times when it is wise to do as you did -- back off gently, and let the "real" come back and work its own magic. Simply lovely!
You are cracking me up! I'd like to see a self-portrait taken with your eyes closed.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely blog... I found you at Toni's and am so happy i did... I love how you write... and follow the sun! Thank you... Roxanne
