that i would love "country strong" with all my heart. did you see the movie. didn't you love it. did you download all the music. did you fall in love with beau and those eyes of his....and that smile....and that voice and his soft ways. okay fine, i loved everything about beau.
~
can you believe that gwyneth paltrow can sing like that. and that tim mcgraw can act.
when "kelly" went and saw travis {i am not a movie spoiler, i promise} did you cry. i did.
i also cried when "kelly" told "chiles" a few things that had been on her mind.
~
this is a movie about love and fame and that timing is everything.

i know there are some people out there who are true movie critics and might not have cared for this one. but the hubby and i loved it. so did our almost 20 year old son.
so that has to mean something. right.

Not one I have seen but I can tell how strongly and how deeply this one moved you!
ReplyDeleteGuess which movie I'll be going to see soon, all thanks to you ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt means you are raising a young man with a soft spot in his heart and that's a very good thing. :-))
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to see if it's on Netflix now!
ReplyDeleteSounds like my kinda movie!
I loved Country Strong! I loved how it was raw and yet beautiful, even if it was a bit depressing. I did get the music; it's great. :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous late summer photo! Another great movie was Midnight in Paris. Paris is always beautiful but it looked even more amazing in the movie--if that's possible!
ReplyDeleteSounds like one I would enjoy. I get to the movies about once a year, so wondering if this is the one.
ReplyDeleteI watched it with my daughter, and yes, we cried...a lot. I adored this movie :) And it had nothing to do with the Beau or Travis thing. Okay, I'm lying.
ReplyDeleteBeth,
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU!
I LOVED this movie. You are the only other person I know who has said they liked it. I had two friends tell me they wanted their money back that's how much they didn't like it.
I did come home and download the soundtrack. I cried at the same spots as you did. I felt everyone acted really well and also it felt believable which doesn't happen in movies often any more.
You made my day,
Jennifer
hmm...haven't seen it. maybe...I'll have to see it.
ReplyDeleteSaw it, loved it! My daughter told me about it. She had seen the Beau guy in other things and loves him. Great cast. I really enjoyed Paltrow in that and she is not a fav of mine.
ReplyDeleteBeth! How funny that you blogged about this movie. My boyfriend Dan and a couple of his acting friends are in that movie. They filmed a great deal of it in Nashville. Dan plays a member of the paparazzi (uncredited) and plays a physician (uncredited and scene was cut!). But you can see him at the gate when Gwyneth is leaving rehab. Glad you liked it! Awesome performances by Gwyneth and Tim.
ReplyDeletefell in love with it too
ReplyDelete...seen it too many times to count
(already) and have almost worn out my first copy of the cd
(well, actually, I practically melted it in the hot car this summer).
But the whole story....the writing, acting, music, cinematography
...it melted ME.

It really means something when your 20 year old likes the same movie you do! LOL
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen it, but I'll give it a shot!
ReplyDeleteI love movies and this one's going on the list.
ReplyDeleteIt's been on my list, and you just helped push it to the top, thank you!!!
ReplyDeleteDidn't see it but a review like that is certainly worth a rental!
ReplyDeleteSo many movies to see and so little time to see them in! Guess you can tell I am feeling a bit stressed about time lately:) If all three of you liked this movie it MUST be good!
ReplyDeleteMissed it because I wasn't in the country at the right time. I will get a copy when I return in Nov. to Texas. Thanks for the thoughts. xo Jenny
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking that means a lot!... I have to see this movie, thanks for a great review!...
ReplyDeleteI havent seen it yet but will take your word for it.
ReplyDeleteI've heard its' a good movie..am gonna have to check-it-out. Beautiful late-summer image!
ReplyDeleteI liked it too. I can't say i loved it and i may have been disappointed if i had paid full movie thearte price but it is an excellent rental option. I do like both McGraw and Paltrow. Have you seen her in Proof . Its a small not well known movie too but i liked it even better than CountryStrong.
ReplyDeletewell now i have to watch it!
ReplyDeletei thought it was a really good movie. i wasn't expecting it to be but was pleasantly surprised.
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to see that one - thanks for the review! I have a feeling if you liked it, I'll like it.
