just over here doing my happy dance....

remember yesterday when i mentioned cash for gold. well all i have to say is
"RUN. RUN NOW"
to  someone who buys gold
~
i only had 3 pieces that i hadn't worn in 10 years
and
now i have $1300 in my pocket.
~
if you decide to do this. shop around. i went to three different places {a jewelry and coin pawn shop and two jewelry stores} and got three different offers. they ranged from $1185 to $1300.
gold prices are at a peek right now.
it was my first stop
{a tiny local mom and pop jewelry store}
that offered me the most money
~
hello new camera

OMG... Don't know that I have that much to trade in but that's like a free camera for you! NICE! Just out of curiosity, what kind of pieces did you have? I know... I'm being a snoop, eh.

Which camera you are going to get?

Congrats! That's like free money! I'm curious what kind of pieces you traded in as well if you don't mind sharing :) Not sure I have anything I want to part with that's big enough to haul in substantial dough!

Wow, I so need to raid my jewelry box! I have quite a few relics from years past that would date me rather quickly but you're right- they may be useful for something else! Yay for you!!

Sweet Deal!!!!
I made the mistake a few weeks ago of going to one of those fly by night companies that hit the local hotels for a gold for cash event. I got taken. Pretty much knew it once I left but I was in a hurry, didn't want the piece and got enough to pay a small bill so I cut my losses and was fine with it. I found out later how much I could have gotten elsewhere. I tell you this to second your advice to SHOP AROUND!!! There are vultures lurking. I got 1/3 what I would have gotten elsewhere.

I did that with broken gold pieces and pieces I hadn't worn for a long time. But that was two years ago and I didn't get nearly as much as you, but I was one happy camper. Congrats on being able to get your camera!

Wow. I mean, I never thought of doing that, thinking "it wouldn't be enough."

I may need to rethink that one.

Haven't been online much this summer. But I was getting homesick, so I'm doing wee visits to say hello and kinda catch up!

As usual, I enjoy visit your site!

I was sorry to hear about your friends who were injured.... prayers for complete recovery of bodies and freedom from all shock and trauma that has impacted their hearts and souls. God, we ask for wholeness!
