let me thank you...

for being
who you are
~
my family
my friends
my blog loves
~~
whether you
bring me
hope and inspiration
love and understanding
or
patience and compassion
~~
whether you
bring me
a shoulder to cry on
enough laughter that takes me to the floor and makes my stomach ache
or
a swift kick that gets me moving again
~~
whether you
bring me
my first smile of the day
a steady hand when I'm shaky
or
a raised eyebrow when my mouth gets out of control
~~
whether you
bring me
an idea that is brilliant
a photo that blows me away
or
an opinion that differs from my own
~~
whether you
bring me
a prayer chain that needs to be continued
a personal email where you feel safe enough to open up your heart
or
a phone call just so I can hear your voice
~~
I thank you
today and everyday
for filling me up
and
being an amazing part of my life
~~
happy thanksgiving
to you all

  27. And thank you, for the beauty you give us with both your images and your world, your smile, the joy that jumps off this flat little screen into three-dimensional giggles and shrieks, the depth and thoughtfulness that allows you to share the deeply personal without fear and with great openness and compassion, for your kindness to me on and off blog. For just being.

I'm hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful (and that even the cooking wasn't too bad!)

  29. Beth ... as always so beautifully written. This blog world has been remarkable to me that we have all found the ability to emotionally connect so easily with you by print and images. That is due to your rare gifts with the way you "see" things and pair them with your beautiful words ... and the honesty with which you share yourself. It all creates an intimacy that is so inviting. Thank you for all you have given us all.
