thanks mom...

for not making me wear my hood
at the beach
*
I probably fought you a little on this
since patty and cheryl wore theirs
but
I think you already knew
how much I loved
the water
and
the sand
and
the wind in my hair
*
or
you just liked me better
*
happy mother's day

  1. i really appreciate the fact that you have captured a mother's most unique ability here... to know when to insist on something and when to let a soul be free.

Happy Mother's Day to you too sweetheart! Where have all of those years gone??? I expect that you were just letting the world (and your Mother) know that a hood just wasn't going to be in the cards for you that day.Obviously you were the one who very seldom developed ear infections, or you would have been wearing a hood too...no matter how determined you were not to!! :-)
    Hugs and kisses...Mom
