did you know...

I like to
show up early for anything
and
be fully engaged in the moment
and
expect the best
and
make boring fun
and
watch dogs cool themselves in the lake
and
help strangers find extra chairs for their crowded table
and
see wedding couples being photographed with sailboats in the background
and
hear the accents of the french speaking people behind me in the ice cream line
and
laugh the entire day until my cheeks hurt
and
jump like a three year old
~~
most of all
I like to
think that someone else decided to smile and jump
because
they didn't want to see me having all the fun
*
happy spc wednesday
and
no way did I take this photo of myself
but does that really matter
?

  2. No way does that matter except that there was someone there with you to see the fun and catch the jump! Someone who caught you in the act so we can now share it! Hooray for the Someones in our lives!

  6. Seeing you jump and reading you're having fun, made me smile. I needed that right now, this day. Thanks for sharing and even more for making me have faith again. Think I'm gonna jump after I'm done here.

  7. Maybe it's not a "self-portrait" but it's certainly a portrait of yourself. Works for me! And besides, it's totally cute. The word "peppy" springs to mind, but I always hated that word when applied to myself, so if that's true for you, please forgive me.

  8. Awesome Beth. I wondered if someone else took the pic. I was thinking now how on earth did she do that? You sure have some fabulous places you go to. It is always a treat for me.

  22. Well, I didn't know all the specifics, but yes, I did know that about you. You, my friend, are full of that beautiful thing joie de vivre.

Your picture has made me smile. And laugh. And jump.

    And need to pee.

It's your 'slide' bliss. I was that way on my slide, and you found yours on the dock...

This is one of my all time favorite pictures. My friendly Beth, jumping in joy!!
