if only for today...

breathe slowly
dance to the music from your ipod while walking down your neighborhood street
raise your face to the sun at least once
stand with your shoulders back
give a stranger anything but a dirty look
buy a bagel for the guy behind you in line
wear your most comfortable shoes even if they don't match what you're wearing
leave your watch at home and don't ask anyone what time it is
take pictures of only round things
go left instead or right
and
most of all
if the only thing you do all day is sit and read a good book
don't.feel.guilty.about.it.

I will be looking at round things to take pics of today, while Michael and I show our outta town friens around Pittsburgh. Lou is from Germany, so it will be fun to see the city through her eyes!

Beth, I have followed your blog for a few weeks now and learned of it through Your Mother Knows ... Holly and I are old friends from her years in Maryland. Today's visit made me feel as if I were "visiting" my own heart and spirit. Your profile comments could have been my own words a dozen years ago ... in a time gone by ... I am so glad you have an appreciation for all those lovely things in your life. Today's post was also beautiful and inspiring and things I try to remind my own four children (no matter that they're ages are 30 and above). It is a pleasure to share in your vision and joy of life. Please feel free to visit Simon Says and you'll see what I am up to these days.http://simonsaystoday.blogspot.com

So funny because I ALWAYS wear my watch..have to for work, but today, this morning, I just simply decided I didn't want to wear it today. I never do that...and here I am reading your post on the very same day.

This image is gorgeous! And beautifully round ;)
