the air is cooler and drier. the greens are fading. the apple picking signs are coaxing us for a visit. the pumpkins are timidly waving from the fields. the mornings are being protective and not waking us. the evenings ask us to turn our lamps on sooner. the sweatshirts have come out from their hiding spots in the closet and soup is already begging to be the main course.

Yes, it is teasing us here too. Now I must run and find my sweater. Just the thought of it makes me cold. I have been thinking about soup too. That squash in the garden will do just right for a soup.

ReplyDeleteI welcome fall this year too. But not snow and thank goodness, there is no snow in Vegas except the occasional flurry that floats down once in awhile when it's reaaly cold and then disappears almost as quickly as it hits the ground.
