I love old...

I love
peeling paint
broken windows
caved in roofs
ladders with missing rungs
cracked pottery
empty brick silos
paths worn into the earth
windmills with missing paddles
dead trees
pitted glass bottles
cracked slate chalk boards
and
sepia photos
but
I love new
too
~~
just not as much

  4. First, I've been meaning to tell you how much I like the name of your blog. So simple, yet very thought provoking, and humorous.

I like your photos and words, too.
I like old buildings and other old things in situ. I like to think that someone put it there or built it or lived there. I wonder at the history, usually personal, that is holds.

    Thanks,
    Greg

  5. I just decided I want a brand new house that looks old but has new plumbing, etc. Then I would decorate with new furniture and old accents!!!

  7. "Old" seems to have a story behind it, doesn't it? Personally in the "new" I like computers (moved onto a refurbished Mac now!), ideas and fresh bread. Have a great unravelling kind of day!

  30. Sometimes I will drive past an old deserted shack in the country, all overgrown with vines and weeds. I will say to myself, I could live there. Hide away and make a secret cottage just for me. Your picture reminds me of just that.

I like how artistic old can look..when the right person is behind the camera, and by that I mean you!
