walk on the dark side with me....

i had the privilege to do a photo shoot last week
that completely took me out of my
"box"
which meant a lot of manual shooting
which meant doing math in my head in order to get my numbers to like each other
~
C is a musician
writing his own songs and making a cd
where the words are deep and hold soulful meanings
~
he had ideas and stories
that he tried desperately to convey to me
in hopes that i could capture them in photos
to be used for
the
front and back covers of the cd
and
the inside where the lyrics will be written
~
i hope i did

My problem is that I am old enough to remember when black and white photographs were the norm.(and now I cannot remember much else :)). Your photographs are great, when they are just simple (anything but, says Beth) black and white they embody a different energy. So powerful, well done and good luck to your client.

I very much like the darkness. Especially the fourth picture, which for some reason seems to me like the subject is very, very deep in profound thoughts.

How cool is that? A cd cover? Nice. I'm sure he loved the shots, they look just like an album cover

now that's a real challenge...totally manual...but you seemed to have hit the nail on the head!

my fave is the first one....a person letting the world outside shed light into his personal world inside. and the window above with the panes ~ superb!
