rule breaker...

the sign on the rusty gate said "no trespassing" so i climbed over it. the sign on the tree said "keep out" which i did. this time. only because there wasn't a sign saying "there are mosquitos the size of lap dogs surrounding this property and they will take you down"
~
that i figured out all on my own
~
so
guess where i'm going in a few weeks
once i've confirmed that the lap dog sized mosquitos have been muzzled
and
put away for the year
~
gosh how i love to have something to look forward to

  1. You sassy, daring, mischievous lady! I love it! Take me with you! Is this property outside of Evansville? If not, there's one very similar there.
    What fun!

  2. there are two places on the way to where I often drive..
one is charred ruins of a fire, the other is an abandoned barn.
every time I go by , I think of you, think , okay, I'm going in...

    :)
I'll dedicate the post to you when I do . I will.

  3. I love that building and completely understand your breaking the rules to check it out further.

Your blog's title is one of my favorite sayings. I am a fan of all of us being ourselves fully and in my later years--69 at the moment--I find that it becomes even more vital to dive deep and fly out into who I am with zest, gusto, appreciation, joy, ecstasy, etc.

  5. Oh, oh, oh - take me! I love old buildings and this one seems enticing. I always love imagining what they once were and what they could be with lots of money poured into them. This is a beauty and I can't wait till you visit again. There is a place in Kansas I always wanted to explore. Each time I have seen it, more has fallen to the ground now. It is so sad to see these beauties dissolve into the ground.

  34. Take me with you :)
Around here, we have old dump sites from homesteads. My favorite thing to do is find an old cabin, great dumpsite, and just spend a day digging for old time treasure.
Watch the ground and the corners, you could find some fascinating things!
