because....

it's just as hot as they said it was going to be. and the humidity is heavy and sticking to me like a coat of paint that isn't drying fast enough. and the ceiling fans aren't enough so i had to do what i hate to do and turn on the air conditioning. and the idea of eating anything makes me a bit nauseous while lemonade makes me feel all sparkly inside.
~
let's just laugh about it
~
the kind of laugh where your eyes get all crinkly and you snort
because
it's wisconsin
and
it's not snow
and
this is how we roll

  2. Oh boy do I feel the heat! Working my butt off with yard work and housework. Have not given in to the A/C partially due to the fact that I have yet to uncover the unit and partly due to the fact that if I make my house nice and cool I know good and well I will NOT want to go back out and sweat!
What a lovely picture of laughter. Made my heart smile :)

  4. Wish we could meet half-way on the temps. It was so cold last night that I had to cover tender plants and bring in the geraniums. This morning the birds could go skating on the bird bath. It's warmed up some now but the wind is blowing AGAIN.

Love the crinkely smile and the swirly curly hair.

  5. We are happy with what is, humid and hot today but we are blessed to live in a house with A/C and we are pretty healthy. Hubby grilled the food outside on the barbecue for our main meal this afternoon and we are reading and enjoying our afternoon. I always like to read your posts and see your wonderful positive attitude shine through in your words. Of course you know how much I appreciate your photography.

  9. The mark of a good writer is the ability to perfectly describe a feeling. And you, my dear, have explained exactly how humidity makes one feel. Perfect!

And how lemonade tastes on a sticky hot day.

  10. Yay for Wisconsin ! We are heating up here too and I am liking it just fine. Air conditioner for sleeping, a fan blowing the studio and the flowers, birds and bees a hummin'...let the games begin!

it's sounds like you're hotter up north than here in the south (or you just can't take it like us Suthna's)! ;-)
