i don't know the whole story....

actually
i don't even know them
but
they were married on thursday
while he was home on leave from the service
and
they celebrated afterwards in the restaurant where her mom works
which happened to be the same place i was treating my mom to lunch
for mother's day
~back in my hometown~
my mom does know his grandma
~they were hospital roommates 49 years ago in the maternity ward with new babies~
so
when everyone was done eating
what else could i do
but ask if they wanted me to take their photos
~
they were so amazingly beautiful and in love
and
just sparkled when we walked down the street to a little park
~
during
the whole photo shoot
they laughed and kissed and smiled and kissed some more
~
he shipped back out yesterday
and
she'll be with him again in two months
~
congratulations
you love birds
and
thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting me photograph your special day
~
your future is so incredibly bright
*
i'm still editing their photos
but
there are a few more over here that are finished

I love that you asked them if they wanted to have their photo taken. Those pictures will be so special to them forever. And you were clearly touched as well. So sweet.

How opportune for the young newlyweds to be at the restaurant and for you to have your camera. Such nice photos. How did your lunch with your mom go? Hope your Mothers Day was special too. I can see that you enjoyed doing something nice for this lovely couple.

Hi Beth,
I found your lovely blog via Sperlygirl, and am delighted to find another creative Beth! Ever since I entered blogland and got back into making art, I seem to be bumping into other people called Beth left, right and centre, having only met a couple in my life until now.
Anyway, love the photos and words
from another Beth

Not sure who is luckier you witnessing such pure love or them being photographed by such talent. Probably a little of both.

You are the sweetest, Beth. I can so relate to happy young couples, having been to the most beautiful wedding on Friday evening - that of my middle son. I'll post photos tomorrow. It couldn't have been a more perfect day and Scribner Vineyards was a lovely setting.

The pictures you took of this dear couple will be cherished forever.

Just so you know, this made me tear up. I know how that feels. My hubby and I got married four days before his feet touched down in Iraq for a 16 month tour. God bless them and keep them safe.

How like you to thank them for the gift you gave them. Because, of course, your loving heart knew it was a gift to you, as well.
