i'm getting there...

amazingly
i haven't been eating these by the handful
but
they still make my mouth water
when i look at them
::
i added some sugar back into my diet
by using the same french vanilla creamer in my tea that i have lived on for years
::
i can't tell you how happy that made me
::
and
i quickly figured out
~with all of your great advice~
that eating things that are good for me has to be a balance of give and take
because if it isn't
it's too easy for me to tell the bagger at the grocery store that he sucks at his job
and
that's just not right

  4. Yep, ever notice how you just HAVE to have the things you're told not to. It's a given. You're a rebel. If you don't believe me look at your photo in yesterday's post. :)

  5. I get really cranky without a little of the bad stuff in my diet!

  6. Moderation in all things seems to be the best way with nutrition and food.

  7. Unless, of course, the bagger really does suck at his job. Then you are doing him a favor.

    Balance, my friend! You have found the key.

  10. This made me laugh and reminded of my late friend Mary. Back in the day, a million years ago, when women had to go to the dr. to get HRT shots, she showed up one day for hers and told the receptionist she thought she'd forgotten hers, that she was overdue. Well, the receptionist replied, I can always tell when my shot is due because everyone starts being real mean to me.

    :)

    Enjoy!

  11. I've gotta say, that's what I love about Weight Watchers. No forbidden, but you have to stay within boundaries. It doesn't really matter if you're following a program or doing it yourself, or controlling a bad habit -- boundaries seem to work, at least they do for me!

  12. "Moderation in all things" is a good way to live in our lives of over abundance...

  13. LOL...I wanted to tell the bagger yesterday that she sucked. Hello! Who puts bananas at the bottom of a bag!!! I had to repack in my trunk!

    Anyway...

    Moderation darling...you can't live on green stuff alone...

  14. When you have an internal battle going on in the mind, both are not right-they are based on 'shoulds'. What does your heart want to do?

  15. Good for you! You can't remove all joy out of life - it is a balance.

  16. NO sugar at all? We all need a little bit of that in our day..don't we? And - my mouth is watering...

  20. Well, if he does indeed suck, then it's his comeuppance, right? No need for slacker grocery boys.

    I just can't picture you being all snarky, Beth...Can't do it.

    I bet you are a funny type of snarky though. Like, after someone walks off and is thinking about how funny & cute & charming you are, only then do they realize you've served them a huge burn... Unless you are proficient at the b*tch slap. That's usually pretty instantaneous....

    for me it is ice cream. Funny, I am on day 4 of a 9 day cleanse right now... and those m&m's are just .... well, I am just glad you didn't post ice cream. Hmmmm... maybe I will.

  30. i hated it when my dad said this, but here goes.... everything in moderation is good for you.

  31. moderation in everything EXCEPT m&ms

  32. LOL@ Elk. I can take or leave M&M's but if it was a bowl of salty chips I would have to sneak a few. Leading to consumption of the entire bowl of course!

  33. I agree with so many of your comments. Chocolate is so-so and I can leave it alone, but I have to have the salty stuff... And I agree that being healthy is a hhuge give and take. It's hard to strike the right balance though. And welcome back to the world of French Vanilla creamers...we missed you!

  34. Ha! You made me laugh out loud...that happens often when I visit you.

    I am quite amazed that you can take a picture of these little m's and not grab a handful...I have learned that I can't keep them in my house. I have no will power. The chocolate wins. Every time.
