Oh I would love to see the finished art. The spray cans remind me of graffiti, which often I like. I know many people get angry when they see graffiti, but I often think "art" for the common man.
I'm curious too about the finished product. Maybe in your next post Beth. And yes they are soooo good in what they just spray around it seems. I also love graffiti, but not on old nice buildings we do have still a lot that's a shame.
"Controlled" graffiti is fine but not when it is defacing wonderful historic buildings and monuments. It broke my heart, in Rome, to see so much of it, ruining ancient pieces of history.
In San Francisco, in the Mission District, artists have painted the whole sides of buildings in wonderful tributes to their Spanish forebears and it is a delight to behold but, even there, graffiti often debases it.
These artists that use spray paint are amazing. Down on Fremont Street in Las Vegas they have spray paint artists that are incredibly fascinating to watch. They can create a whole picture in about five minutes. Truly talented people.
I have art from a guy that does this kind of art. It used to be popular here (so cal) it is not any longer. The spray paint art is really great art in the finished product too.
Wonderful! I love "why I love art". I've been thinking about that lately and finally realizing that I do love art deeply for every bit of the experience, the process, the colors...and like you said "the thoughts". These pictures are perfection!
Lovely vibrant colours! Makes me want to take a can (or 10) and just start spraying for the fun of it. I think my children would love it to have their own graffiti wall at home!! Inspirational photos, Beth. :)

Looks like such fun - the simple act of allowing oneself to get messy. Love this series!!!
