hi september....

fair warning
september
~
august was really nice to me, so no pressure, but you better be nice, too
~
today feels like a friday to me...not that i ever wish for time to run by me any faster then it already does. but it feels like a friday.
~
our daughter is moving into a new apartment this weekend.
which means WE are moving our daughter into a new apartment this weekend.
let's see. over the course of five years we have moved her in and out of a dorm room. in and out of apartment number one. in and out of apartment number two and now into apartment number three.
boy
it's sure a good thing we love her as much as we do
~
our son is going back to school this fall.
he got accepted into the music and recording technology program here in madison and showed me this the other day. i'm hoping that maybe someday, the two of us can create something just like it together.
but instead of drawing, i'll use photos. and he can make whatever music he wants to.
wouldn't that be amazing.
{the video gets really good at about the 23 seconds...wait for it}

You do such a swell job of photographing the outdoors (well, everything, really!) that I wanted to share this photo I took this morning in my garden. Not that it's a prize-winning photo, I've just never seen this up close before and I was so excited to catch it on camera that I had to share! Hope you enjoy!... http://imjustmk.blogspot.com/2011/09/mama-wolf.html

Your daughter reminds me of my sister . . . . although I've lost count how many times she's moved and family have had to help her. In fact she recently just moved to Bournemouth but now that I live in the US, I'm off the hook!

That is the coooooolest video! Bravo to son for sharing with mom. Lovely sentiment. I'm so very jealous of that artist!
Big changes for your kids. Hope they settle happily in.

Summer's fading fast here, too ... September began in the dark hours with a rain storm and wind and a roof that leaks. It will get better ... right?!

Really cute and creative video! Enjoyed thoroughly.

Congrats on your son's acceptance into the music program. Sounds like an exciting career ahead of him.

I've lost count of the number of moves we've helped our kids make, but they finally stopped asking and rely on their friends. I'm too tired for all that nonsense now. :/

So funny, John and I thought it was Friday nearly all day today. I moved into my new studio which is fabulous, a loft, a live/work space, so I can hide out there if I want. So glad to hear about Jake going back to school. And sweet Cate :)
Happy September.

Oh ... my ... gosh! I love that video! Just had to say that.

Good luck with the move. My parents have helped me move quite a few times, and I know tough it was for them. Hopefully after this one you'll get a reprieve for a while. ;o)

Have a wonderful day!

I agree...I want September to be as good as August was.

We move these kids more often than we've moved ourselves...I'm sure of it. Just moved youngest to residence on Sunday. Now to move the older one on Saturday...thankfully we're only on move #4 with him!

Glad that you son has been accepted to the music programme...here is to a future where you share your work together!! xox
