this felt garland hangs in the window of my office. the office that i call command central. it's where everything happens. there are papers and notes everywhere. on my desk. on the hutch behind my desk. sometimes even on the floor in front of the double doors
so that i don't forget to grab them on my way out.

there are pens and makers in every size and color you could ever imagine.
my calendar, the mother ship for command central, lays on my desk and if you tip toed into my house and stole it from me, i'd be more lost than little red riding hood in the woods and would send the big bad wolf after you so he could eat you for doing such a mean thing.
~
there's a love seat that faces my desk where my hubby often sits when he wants to talk to me. actually it's not always the talking that brings him, it's the comfort of the love seat. we've had it for years, but the partially down filled cushions still make it the best place in the whole house to just be.
~
today if you want to know a little bit more about who i am
i spilled opened up for anyes
when she asked me a few questions for her tuesday's talks
~
maybe i'll see over there

I think we all have a favorite spot, a command central...thank goodness! Fun interview Beth at Tuesday Talks. How nice to be chosen for her first installment!
ReplyDeleteI love who you are.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday, Sweet One !
Beth, it is such a privileged to get to know you better one post at a time, and I feel really honoured you accepted my invitation to talk and share a bit more of your world with me.
ReplyDeleteCan you feel hugs when they are virtual?
it was great to get to know you better reading anyes interview ~ and i adore that i get to know you better with each post and picture you share :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if I ever mentioned this to you before, but it was YOU who got me to put a bug in my hubby's ear to buy me a digital SLR. Yours was the first photoblog I found that spoke to me, loud and clear! And, yes, without the blogosphere, photography would just not have the same appeal.
ReplyDeleteYou've not transitioned to a little electronic device to hold your "importants," a little device that can be easily misplaced (or dropped in the commode)?
ReplyDeletelove your merry garland
ReplyDeleteand the love seat sounds perfectly placed
for business and life
to remain gentle
between you lovebirds.
I do like your style:)

I love the title of this post - great point.
ReplyDeleteI love your garland and love hearing about your space! It looks like a lovely room! (And I know what you mean about piles by the door and the calendar! We are of like minds!)
ReplyDeleteRegarding the title...love it! Your office sounds so comfortable....
ReplyDeleteOh, I've gotten so far behind! I love the image of your office (although that's pretty much what my house is like - my notes and lists everywhere!) I'm the same way about my calendar!
ReplyDeleteI want to know. Heading there now.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I think your garland is cool.
Loved getting to know you better...and I agree with you that if it weren't for blogging I would not be photographing nearly as much!
ReplyDeleteMy office is such a mess!! Lately I just bring my laptop to the tv room:)
:) i like a command central.
ReplyDeleteyour talk with anyes was so great...i certainly understand your quote: "i grew up during every one of our 13 moves..." i'm glad you came by today to share some pizza & beach with me!-xok.
ReplyDeleteNice interview wit anyes. Like the decoration on the window. Charmaine
ReplyDeletehow cool. a place of your very own.
