going crazy with picture sizes....

this is a large photo uploaded through flickr
~what I've been doing lately~
where the right hand side usually gets cut off
and
irritates the crap out of me

this is the medium size photo uploaded through flickr
which is better
but not quite the right size I'm looking for
now I've gone in and started to play around with the html on my photos
which I think is going to make me so much happier
~~
there are a hundred different ways to so this
depending on who you ask
and
bloggers
of course
are the best source of information
some html changes
will make all your photos the same size every time
you upload a photo
and
that's not what I wanted
~~
I like having some control over my photo sizes and once I learned an easy way
to edit the individual html for each photo
I patted myself on the back
and
ate a chocolate chip cookie
~~
for all of you bloggers who answered my questions
THANK YOU
~~
for those of you who would now like my help
I'd love to
~~

Once you learn some simple Html coding...the world just opens up doesn't it? I have learned how to do some pretty cool things...and I have barely scratched the surface...

obviously I have a lot to learn! I am never happy with sizing or the sharpness or lack thereof from camera to blog??? I always learn something...I really love your words and how "pretty" they look on your blog.

I am totally clueless when it comes to html but I have been wanting to learn for awhile.

Your blog always delights me as I am now chuckling over the chocolate chip cookie. Not because you're eating one but it was just so unexpected in the post. I love it.

Your photos are gorgeous no matter the size!!!! You just have "an eye." Whether it is altered arts or photography you really are a genius! Sending love!

Ooooh so very brave when you begin altering html! I do get worried about altering the code in some way that takes a monumental overhaul to fix :)

What a great photo regardless of the size! I'm up for a tutorial if you want to give one :)

Really/ You are very generous with your help! I didn't know there was more than one way to upload photos other than choosing the predetermined size of small, medium or large. I have so much to learn.

I love the final one. I know what you mean about flickr cutting the images up, it annoys me to no end. I think my biggest upset is how blogger kills the quality of my photos sometimes, or will not always let you click on a picture in your post and blow it up. I will have to play with HTMl and learn some tricks.

:D

Hmmm enjoying my coffee right now and that cookie...is missing.

Good for you how to figure out things. And yes yes yes I had the same struggle but asked around just like you did.

Sorry I didn't read this post this one with you asking us. But hey you got there.

It just makes me so aware of what a novice I am in all this. I can barely get my blog posted and my page is so plain and unexciting. When I see others that are so beautiful, I just want to throw in the towel!!

I love how you are so honest with everything.
It inspires me to keep learning.
It is all so overwhelming , and yet, as is life.
So blessed to have found a community of people willing to share and encourage and be authentic.

The photos look great. Boy, I just want time to experiment with my blog, even learn HOW to do the flickr upload. It'll happen. Someday. And believe me, I'll come a-callin'! (Hope that cookie was great!)
