no whiners here today....

i hope all of you have an amazing "last weekend before christmas" weekend.
by now, i bet most of you have all your shopping done and that your studio looks like a bomb went off in it and spewed scraps of wrapping paper, tape, ribbon, scissors and gift tags everywhere.
no? okay, maybe that's just me.
~
usually by now, i'm in a very whiney mood, complaining about how much snow we have and how winter and i don't get along. but not this year.
it was 50 degrees here the other night. 50 degrees. and remember i'm in wisconsin.
the weatherman keeps shaking his head, while we keep celebrating.
~
next week i'll be talking about migraines and i'll show you some of the photos that go with those little legs up there. oh, and i still have to share the goofy photos of my daughter and her boyfriend.
while i'm thinking of it, are any of you wearing "ugly christmas" sweaters to your christmas festivities this year?
*
ps....i would love to answer any camera and or shooting questions you have. i receive many personal emails asking me about this and that, aperture and editing, which i love. so throw some at me here and then we can all share.

  1. I'm so far behind...I still have all my supplies out from making cards and wreaths...and then I need to tidy that so I can decorate...which I still have not done, but I'm keeping things simple and minimal this year.

I'm glad there's no whining!! None here either -- it was 55 yesterday for heaven's sake...in the middle of December!! Mother Nature has hit menopause I think!!!

Love your photos...totally rustically charming!! xo

  2. Count me among the lagging behind crowd..........it wouldn't be normal around here if i wasn't doing so much in the last couple of weeks before the 25th........but it sure would be nice to have things done so i could sit and relax.......i guess i'll never learn, sigh!

  5. Your right about my studio looking like a bombs hit it. In fact I just got up from the floor where I'd been wrapping presents. Starting to get a little strung out as we're going to be travelling to Kansas for Christmas this year. My husband and I are used to spending it alone so a house full of 11 people will be quite the challenge.

  6. No ugly Christmas sweaters here. I gave the last away and making a tea cozy out of the other. Oh I remember a time long ago when I worked for a company that made those sweaters and I was involved in the design of them. What fun we had throwing more and more stuff on them. Have a wonderful weekend. I plan on it. It is starting right now.

  10. Well it looks a bit untidy here as well, but it's because I am packing.

  12. The only people who aren't behind for the coming of Christmas are kids. No adult is really every completely ready for Christmas...and next week? Monday? Merry Christmas to me, I go for a colonoscopy. I get to whine a wee bit.

  14. I wish somebody would come up with a crafty idea on what to do with the ugly sweaters. I'm looking forward to the post on migraines as I've suffered from them for 30 years.

  16. No, I don't have nearly everything done, let alone wrapping. I've got the whole week off, so am hoping to get further along.

  18. 99 % of Christmas shopping done. Yesterday was actually a reading, making chili, hanging out with furry kids day for David and I and man did that feel good.
Today will be about wrapping, or sacking actually, as I do the gift bag thing now, having given up on being a Martha Stewart wanna-be quite a few years ago. Putting bits of love in the bags along with the gift and tissue paper...
    Yay for a whine-free Christmas prep. !
    Love ya !
