and
this past friday
i was lucky enough to spend 2 hours with children between the ages of 2 and 4 as they played and created and laughed. all of this took place at the glitter workshop, here in madison and if you're local and reading this and have little ones that need to do something this summer, you can still sign up. i'll be going back to take more photos....and ummm, maybe to play. it was really hard for me to walk by the glue and tissue paper table and not make anything.
i will have to say though, i think the salt and food coloring table was the big hit of the day, especially for the boys.
i can hardly wait to see what theresa has planned this week.

It always does my heart good to see them this way after 21 years in my field of forensic nursing having to interview them and hear them tell such horrors of abuse! So many of the ones I saw didn't have the happy smiles of childhood. I think this is just one of the reasons I cherish your page so much, Beth!
ReplyDeleteBeth, the pictures you took so wonderfully capture the spirit of my class. Thank you! Oliag, the theme was Bright and Bold last Friday. The children were mixing food color with the salt and experimenting with layering, mixing colors, adding water, putting glue on paper and sprinkling - whatever they could come up with! (There was a lot of brown, mushy salt by the end). Next week is see through art. We've got room if anyone wants to bring a little one to join us!
