i look for hearts everywhere....

so how lucky
am i that this one has been with me for 30 years
~
to say he's my world isn't saying enough. to love him more than i do is impossible.
to celebrate him just today isn't right. i try to do that all year long.
now granted
some days aren't perfect. i mean really. nobody can be together as long as we have and say that marriage isn't a challenge. because it is. or at least it can be sometimes.
and
what's wrong with that. a hurdle to jump every now and then keeps us on our toes.
and
honestly. i can't imagine my life any other way.

sometimes when i can't find hearts. i draw them. or make them.
and
most days i have a helper
who leaves tiny paw prints behind
to make sure i don't ever forget her
do you look for hearts
everywhere
too
~
oh i hope you do
~
happy valentine's day to all of my fellow bloggers
who inspire me everyday
with
laughter and wisdom
passion and sincerity
and
most of all
a desire
to continue doing what i LOVE to do

You and your dear husband look at peace in the photo. I am so happy for your thirty years together. I know what you mean about Valentines Day not being the only day of the year to celebrate your love.

*~HAPPY VALENTINES DAY~* to you too! Thank you so much for sharing this little window into your life. It, like yourself, was very sweet & dear. Also, I too am a heart person. I doodle them conciously and unconciously on anything with in reach!___=^..^=___KIttie

Congratulations on 30 years, and thanks for sharing this beautiful post. Marriage, as you point out, is not always smooth sailing but as you suggest, its the rougher seas that give us the strength and resolve to keep navigating through to calming waters.
Happy Valentine's Day!

You too are such a goodlooking couple and what a sweet post. I really do look for hearts everywhere. Once, I actually captured a heart cloud with my camera. That was exciting. Yes, I agree that you should celebrate your love everyday not just on Valentine's day. Every day is a blessing and I am blessed in my life and by your inspiration as well. Happy V day.

I love this blog post. But it also made me sad. I always felt that way - always! Until a certain special needs child came into our life and turned it upside down. I hope to get back there someday soon. On the other hand, I, too, look for hearts! I draw them, I seek them in print, I color them, I doodle them. What I haven't done is look for them in nature! That's my new quest for 2011. Thanks for the great post. Happy V day!♥♥♥

I was hoping you'd post a photo of the two of you because you two really are like the ultimate Valentine's heart!

I look for hearts everywhere, too. I think lots of people do -- I was surprised when I posted a pic of the Gyp how many people said his freckly nose was shaped like a heart!
