safe travels....

i'm surprised some of them are still here. it's getting cold and the wind today sounds a bit brutal outside my office window. i'd think by now they'd want to be a bit further south.
but maybe they love fall, too. and have a hard time saying good-bye.

  1. The seasonal migration has always been fascinating to me. Very nice soft picture. One final gathering before they prepare for their long flight.

  3. My Dad used to say they were waiting for just the right currents to change. It is why one day they are all there and then whoosh they're gone. They are aware of so much that we never notice.

It's a lovely shot, makes me quite nostalgic.

  5. Geese in Denver seem to stay all year round - though it gets mighty cold here! Yours look like they have their marching orders.

  6. The geese stay here much all of the winter...they use to head South years ago. In response to your previous blog...I am glad to hear you have a place to put your art work out for people to see...I just know they will love it.♥

  9. Goodbyes are definitely hard...but I think those geese are nuts to hang out when they have a ticket to head south for the winter, don't you ?
