the quiet side.....

a lot of bloggers are heading to the "quiet side" during the summer months. have you noticed? i like that they do that. that they take a break. that summer means soaking in the present moments and selfishly keeping them, wishing on dandelions, falling asleep to the sound of bullfrogs, photos of bugs and bare legs and eating chocolate for breakfast. oh wait, maybe the chocolate/breakfast combo is just me. snort.

anyhow, i'm going to be one of them.

i won't disappear completely, but it will be quieter around here. i'll still share some of my photos with quotes i fall in love with and there will be occasional updates of what is or isn't going on around here, but overall i think you'll feel and hear the silence.

with that said, i'm a talker and i love anything visual, so we'll see who wins...summer, blogging or hopefully just the perfect combination of both.

  2. I've been a laggard about blogging all winter and spring. . . sometimes only once a week. Am going through a serious review of what I have to say and how I want to say it. One blog? Two? Having three was okay for a while, but it got wearing. I'm paring down my life and my words. Summer's got nothing to do with it.

  4. Since I am old as dirt my life is slower now. Nothing but what I want to do. Wish I had taken more quiet moments when my children were growing up and I was a full time wife, mom and nurse. I kind of miss it however. Isn't that one of the ironies of life?

  6. Looking at these two pairs of legs I realized just how much grooming women do verses me. I think it seems unfair somehow.

  8. I haven't decided if I'll lay low or pick it up! We'll see -- I'll have more time and the writing and sharing I love.

Do hope you'll pop by for updates now and then. I think my comment captcha is still turned off just for you!

  9. I've been taking a little break too. I don't post as much as I used to and that's working for me right now. Take care - xo.

  10. I love blogging very much. I sometimes feel like Facebook has taken over my computer time, which has bad and good points. I get immediate connection when I share my stuff on FB in shorter form but less depth in comments and also have to sift through some stuff that I don't really want to spend my time delving into.
Though I have slowed down in blogging, I think I will always do it in some form. I love the blogging community so much! And I love the documenting of my life this way as well.
And yes, I think the focus just sometimes has to be on the juicy living part of life instead of the sharing the juicy details!
Here's to summer and all the juicy living we can get!
    Much love!
