somebody slap that man...

it's june and i'm loving it. our weather is being as close to perfect as it possibly can. for the past few mornings, it's been tapping on my window, asking me to come out and play and then smiling at me all day long. yesterday, a rain cloud hung above the house for a few moments.
quietly it opened up and dropped a tiny hand full of cotton ball sized rain drops on us and then flew away quickly while looking back in shame, like it had forgotten that it was supposed to do that anymore.

thank you for all of your comments yesterday in regards to my little move. there was a bit of confusion and i just want to make sure that you all know that this blog, where i am right now, is and will forever be my home. the move only affected my portrait photography blog. and just in case you didn't know, i have a third blog {because i'm crazy} just for my black and white photos.
~
i never talked about the finale of american idol. what do you think about scotty winning? i actually love his humbleness and the fact that he loves and talks openly about jesus. by the end of the year, i think he'll be taking over nashville.
~
i have seen two train wrecks in the past two weeks and both of them have fallen off of "the bachelorette" train tracks. can i just say what a ridiculous mess that show is. and bentley. you need to be slapped.

  1. i have not watched any of the bachelorette this season. not gonna do it. :)

don't watch idol either. or the voice. or america's got talent. or whatever else they can throw at us. when home, hubby watches biggest loser. have watched all of them at one time or another. the only reality show i stick with is Survivor. :)

  2. I tried doing two blogs and I just couldn't keep up. We are west of Madison and had just a bit of rain, not enough to soak the ground with.

  4. I still wanted James to win, did think Lauren would win,,,,I guess those deep voices get you every time.
both my ex and my husband have deep voices....Scottie will take Nashville I am sure. I don't watch the bachelorette or bachelor...too me it is just too ridiculous...I actually don't watch any of the reality shows and am even getting away from Y&R. love your photo Beth...our weather is fabulous too, no complaints from this camper. Your comment about my tattoo. I actually have three, my ex was a tatooist....I got my first one and then married him.....I should write a book How to Trap a Man in 101 stupid ways...lol. hugs to you. hope you have a perfect day.

  5. OH GOODNESS. My thoughts exactly. Bentley might be the most hated man in America right now. Not that I watch that show... err yeah.

  7. I think the Scotty winning was predictable. With little girls everywhere texting the votes. I wished Lauren had found the confidence she had at her audition. I think it is hard for the younger contestant going from big fish in a little pond to little fish in a big pond. Scotty was mature for his age.

  8. i love that photo, and your june raincloud (which somehow reminded me of winnie-the-pooh) and your writing's planned randomness...

  9. Hey Beth, I am so happy for you with your warm, sunny weather! We get hits of it then back to cool clouds and always, always the winds ... the old timers around are saying they have never seen such strong, constant winds, makes me crabby. But I liked that Scotty won, in the end I had no real favorite, he's a cutey and sweet.
    Keep enjoying it all.

I stopped watching all reality shows a few years ago. They simply lost their appeal, considering that they are not reality but rather scripted garbage. No reflection on your for watching them is meant, I just can't do it.

  12. What a gorgeous shot - I'm glad someone still has plenty of spring left!

  13. Yes, I was pleased that Scotty won. Haven't watched much TV, so just seen glimpses of the bachlorette. Oh how I wish the sun was shining here, but I am just happy to be getting well and not have the hot, humid weather I experienced in Thailand. I am looking forward to reconnecting and being home.

  14. Great shot! Only realty show I watch is American Idol ... glad Scotty won! But I was more a fan of James.
I have no idea how you are able to keep up on 3 blogs ... I barely can keep my 1 blog going. And as Caroline notes .. Pinterest, flickr, Twitter ... all sitting out there waiting for me as well ... how do they do it all???

  15. Glad your days have veered toward spring and are giving you more sunshine, Beth. It's very rainy right now in OR - we've decided to head back to sunny (we hope) CO.

  16. i've missed you. for some reason, i wanted scotty to win but i wasn't excited about the finale. after james was voted off, i think it lost it's sense of excitement about the win.

and yeah, the bachelorette...i think he will get his comeuppance.

Country singers are still in at America,eh. But personally speaking, I love blues music, that's why I adore Cassie and Haley. Anyway, I'm still happy that Scotty wins, eh.

  20. I have to say that I am surprised that he won American Idol! But he is such a sweetheart for sure.
Weather has been pretty here but oh so windy!! 50 to 60 MPH winds every day for weeks now!! Sheesh! I am so tired of these winds!
    Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!
    Have a great weekend

  21. It has been sunny here, too. I'd forgotten how wonderful it feels.
Yesterday a saw a dragonfly for the first time this year. That made me smile, huge.

  22. It's obvious that Bentley was a set up and the designated villain this season. But when Ashley talked about how great her radar is (after the warning from the Bachelor's villainess), I just wanted to scream. It is a guilty little pleasure, isn't it? But please, someone, get them a grammar coach so they know when to use I, me, my, etc. If I hear her say, "Brad and I's relationship" ever again, I may go mad. Her college degree should be revoked!

  23. The colors in this photo are making me all happy! Beautiful!

As for Scotty I am not at all surprised he won...and he will certainly be a big Nashville star!
I was rooting for the sexy singer Haley I have to admit:)
