happy weekend everyone
~but there's more~
~~
what i forgot to share
was that when i had issues with blogger, one of the suggestions was for me to clean out the cookies on my computer. so i did and blogger was fixed and overall, my computer seemed to be so much happier.
now granted, that might not be what fixed blogger, but it certainly can't hurt to do that every now and then. let's just call it general computer maintenance and pat ourselves on the back when it's done.
~
if you don't know what your cookies are or how to get rid of them, google it, as it's different for everyone depending on what computer you use.
~
so there you have it
a little tip from me
*
i do clear my history and cookies frequently. recently (since intalling the latest upgrade of Internet Explorer) i've also had to shut down my PC every few days - just to clear out temp files to clear enough memory. guess i just surf too many blogs...
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a computer newbie in the early 90s one of the IT guys where I worked took me under his wing. He stressed the importance of clearing the cache and history as well as doing regular defrags. Back then it was especially important because my first hard drive was only 540MB.
ReplyDeleteEven after all these years my browser is set to dump the history and cookies every time I log off and I my calendar reminds me to defrag every Sunday. It really does make a difference in performance.
Cookies cleaning is so important, I am reminded of it every time I can not comment on my friend's blogs.
ReplyDeleteAt home, Lovely Husband is in charge of cookies cleaning, nothing to do with computers though ;-)
I do that often...it's a good thing. :) Hope you are having a wonderful Saturday!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is the most fabulous photograph! I'm an animal hugger, but birds and dogs are my favorites.
ReplyDeleteYou've just captured this precious one's personality so well. I feel as if I could reach out and touch him (or her)...
I clean my computer all of the time. I'm a fanatic about it. I'm glad your's is working well.
I hope you have a blessed weekend.
Joey

ReplyDeletehope you are having a marvelous weekend ..I will pass this on to my "computer man!"
ReplyDeleteI admit to forgetting to clear my cache..good reminder!
ReplyDeleteLove the goose :)
Thanks for the tip. I really need to do that.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip. Love the goose pic!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder. I always have good intentions of doing things like that (made right after doing it because it was causing problems) but then I forget - until I start having problems again...
ReplyDeleteEvery time my computer begins to run too slowly, I clean out my cookies, etc, and degrag. This laptop was already too full with things I had preinstalle at the factory. I kept forgetting it wasn't a desk top model. Wih they made laptops ith 1 terrabyte capability!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip!! I will have to do that!
ReplyDeleteLove the photo!!
Hugs

Hmmmmm, I'm sure I could stand to do this to my poor old PC. Thanks, Beth. Have a happy Sunday! ~k
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip. Love your gander here. Or is it a female? Dunno.
ReplyDeleteAre you the mother of a goose too?
ReplyDeleteThat did work. Thank you dearly.
Everything must be maintained : )
ReplyDeleteLovely shot!
thanks for the tip, and that goose looks like something from a beatrix potter story...
ReplyDeleteYes...thanks for the advice. And - love the portrait. Very nice!!!
ReplyDeleteThe thing I hate about clearing cookies is the way that I have to retype everything for while. How lazy can I be, anyway?
ReplyDeleteMy computer guys...who fixed the computer when it got a nasty virus a year ago ...installed CCleaner which cleans the C drive with the click of a mouse....I do it every single time I log off!
ReplyDeletesuch an amazing photo!
ReplyDelete; )
I may have to toss my cookies tonight! Thanks for the tip!
