I can't help being jealous of your great father. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. I so like the picture of the little girl you with your dad playing in the sand. Hugs to you.
You are spoiled and lucky, and you probably already know this, speaking from experience, I'm sure your dad just LOVES it when you call him for some help. Enjoy
What a priceless photo!!! We who have had great dads are incredibly lucky!!! I lost mine in 1994 and still miss him every day!! To me he was the man who could fix anything and who would have done anything for me!!
Love this photo! Wish my dad were still here to celebrate with...I know I would have bought him a red sweater becase that is what he wanted every year:)
Absolutely beautiful!! My baby girl and her daddy get to play on the beach for the first time this summer and I can't wait to take photos of it!! How lucky you are to still have your dad with you. There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about and miss mine. xoxo
**I love reading the comments you leave, as they make me feel like we're sitting in my kitchen, having a cup of tea, discussing life and wondering where all the time has gone ...beth

ReplyDeleteI don't know if I was lucky or unlucky to have 3 dads in my life. Mom married 3 times you see. What is worse is that they are gone..passed on.

ReplyDeleteIndeed -- but I think the luck in your family went both ways! What a marvelous photo -- what memories it must bring.
ReplyDeletewonderful memory to have on film. :o)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful picture and post Beth. It reminds me that pictures (and who would know this better than you) are time machines...
ReplyDeletePhotographs are magic. Freezing time ~ everyday moments ~ so everyone can share them while life overlaps.
Equally, perhaps even more wonderful, they hold the memories and love we can't reach out and touch any longer.
Camera, photograph, photographer.
Compose the invisible frame, understand the light, coax the shadow. See and capture what matters and freeze it forever, in heart and in history.
Your photographs hold time and life beautifully Beth & I always enjoy seeing what you've caught in the orb of your lens....
sweet photo!
