i'm not a snot...

my plans changed today. the weatherman told me to. it's not raining. he said it was going to rain.
he lied. okay he didn't lie.
but he was wrong. i kind of want to kick him in the shin. not too hard. just enough to let him know that i think his weather maps and fancy doppler radars are crappy.

if you have waited for an email from me and haven't gotten it. please check your spam. i have two email addresses. gmail and aol. sometimes my mac decides which one to use when he sends out my mail. i'm okay with that since i adore my mac and think he's extra special. but you might be thinking i'm a snot and haven't returned a note to you. i don't want you to think i'm a snot. i really don't.

how's your thursday
mine's a bit choppy

  2. not a stinkin' drop.

we'll chalk it up to cloudy failure.

  3. There are times I want to get in the truck, drive to Roanoke and run over the weather guesser's foot a few times. I've sent e-mails to him, suggesting they install a window in the studio but I guess that would be too confusing for him to operate. I still want to run over his foot.....or at least a couple toes.

  4. He, he, he, I thought the weather guys here were bad until I was in Wyoming. There they can't even predict what's going to happen in the next hour accurately!

  5. They never quite get it right...well maybe once in a while. That's why I swear it does not pay to alter plans. Lovely feel to your photo. Make sure you read my response to the comment you left yesterday about wedding crashers! I meant it too!

  6. If you're sending mail out via Mac's Mail, then it's going to send it out from whichever mailbox you're sitting in at the moment. You should see a dropdown menu where you can change over to the other address.

And here's a tissue for the snot. ;)

  7. I made a decision to be blissfully unaware of the weather and it seems to work out much better for me. Great pic!

  8. yayy!!! i can comment! i'm not a snot either, but google hasn't been letting me comment on lots of blogs - yours being one of them. i wanted to kick them (it?) in the shins (shin?), also.

and those stupid weatherpeople. they're probably out there on the lake, hogging it all for themselves.

  9. I have long ago decided to not pay much attention to weathermen, weather channels. This year, I do have to say we've been having quite a cold wet, Spring so I am all the better not knowing that it's going to rain AGAIN.
My Thursday is waiting impatiently for my Friday to show up ;-)

  11. Ditto Char. Love that photo. My day's been pretty choppy, too. Hanging on tight to the sides and trying not to get seasick. sigh. Hope we both have smoother sailing soon!

  12. texwisgirl, that was funny.

And my Thursday has been good good good. Beautiful here, although truth be told, we could use a little bit of rain.

    And I found a cottage!

  13. Oh yeah, well I have the OPPOSITE issue - my weather man said it WASN'T going to rain for a week or more so I left all kinds of things out in the yard last night and when I got up at 5:00 to do my yoga this morning it was pouring. AND it rained on and off all day, re-wetting and re-dirtying the laundry I dared to hang on the damn clothes line.

  19. Those error-prone weathermen annoy the heck out of me. Sorry your day was choppy. Mine was the same. :/ But tomorrow is Friday!!!!!!!!

  20. We actually had tornado warnings and hail here yesterday...that rarely happens in RI! In the end though we got very little rain...unlike our neighbors in Massachusetts....

  24. My whole week has been choppy! Weather and work has kept me off the bicycle again, so feeling cranky all around!!!

Hope you have a great day.

  25. So glad to hear it's not just weathermen HERE that never get things right. I think my Nanny was more accurate standing on the front porch using her eyes and arthritic joints to predict what the day would bring! I KNOW she was more fun.
    love your posts!

  27. The weather man got it right here. He said it was going to rain and be miserable all this long weekend. He's got it right so far! (We are celebrating the Queen's birthday!)

  30. I'm with you. I hate the whole weather man thing. I mean, really! What other job on the planet could you have where you are considered good at it if you get it right only half the time?
