it can happen....

i think they have eyes and are secretly alive. how else could they attack the way they do.
no pitter patter of little feet. not even a tiny little giggle.
and
then all of a sudden you're covered in them.
and
then your husband laughs as he watches you try to get them off your body. men.

These little things are just awful. Every time I take Annie and Mazzy for a walk one of them will come back with one tangled in their hair. They are not that easy to get out. They should be almost gone now that we've had some freezing weather.

Lovely photos...
I get those nasty burrs too all the time...I take a big leaf and wrap it around the burrs to grab them off, it usually works pretty well, glad to hear about Sophie!

Glad that Sophie is getting better.

it is an odd thing the way burrs seem to just leap off of plants to attack! So glad you dog is starting to feel better.

He, he,he, sorry but I was laughing too. It's so hard to get those darn things off you, I swear they have a life of their own. So glad sophie's doing better.

Hi Beth!
Oh those nasty things bring back childhood memories of playing out in the field! Stuck on mittens just like that! I read somewhere that they are what inspired the inventor of Velcro. At least they were good for something :-)
I am so happy to read your sweet Sophie is feeling better. There is not much sadder than a sick pup I dont think! She is lucky to have such a loving mom to take care of her!
I am becoming a follower and will visit again soon!
Warmest Regards,
Lynn

I haven't seen any of these in my San Francisco Bay area...of course I'm not often walking in the woodland areas. I hate them!

Hi Beth, I've missed out on so so much. I'm sorry to hear your sweetie is ill. hope things are on the better hand now. I know how your doggie felt as I was sick just like that for three days myself....yuck.

Love your work and hope you had fun exploring.

Beth, I just caught up with your entries, though I'm sure I am more behind still. I'm sorry to hear your Sophie was ill, but glad to hear she is on the mend and pray she is doing better.
Your stickers made me laugh on your glove. They are my Collie Beauregard's,(Bo's)best friends. He cannot go out with me without getting at least 1-8 on his paws, mane, or tail. Some days he will just stop walking on his leash until I figure out his dilemma. We hate them too!
