soar...

i wonder if he knows anything about
picking a word for the year

if he does
i just have to believe
his is
"soar"
shooting him
was a self imposed challenge
it wasn't easy
as i had no idea at anytime
which way a wave would take him
so of course
there were plenty of blurry shots

but
there were also plenty in focus
that kind of took my breath away

did he know i was watching him
along with all the other beach dwellers
of course
~
he was quite a ham
~
but
if i could do what he does, i'd be a ham, too

Soaring in my mind and heart is enough flying experience for me thank you. Although this does look like fun, for other more adventurous people with very strong hearts. Ha.

Beth:
I want you to know that I come by and sit in your space when I have time to 'savor' your images and words.

So your word for the year ahead is perfect...just perfect.

I had a client other day who commented on your photo that hangs in my treatment room. It made me send some vibes your way.

Happy New Year my friend...happy year....happy

Great captures. Wow he is soaring. That shot of him leaning into the wave is amazing - I stared and stared.
Was this a client or were you just shooting a stranger?

I think the shot of him in the wave is awesome too. Even if you can't do what he does, you have some amazing talent yourself. That looks like great fun though!

I love challenges like this one. How I wish I could soar with him. Great shots! Love each and everyone of them. This would be my kind of fun if my body were only a few years younger.

Wow -- there is part of me that would love to do that. There is part of me that says, "Have a great time!" But I know YOU were having a great time! You can tell in all the great shots!

I'll say, but you can't blame him for being a ham!
And you did a great job with these, love the action.

It looks so cold out there! All I can think of is his ears must be freezing! Great action shots, Beth.

How amazing to be able to do that, and how fortunate for you to capture the feeling, the exhilaration, the frigid water, the movement of air, the pounding of surf.

YOWZA!

WOW! The third pic from the bottom!!! Incredible photo!

I have always watched these guys, wishing I knew how to do that. It looks like such freedom...a method of flying.
