  2. We need to come up with a name for these, something synonymous with Story people, but you know, not. Beth-something or other ... hilarious... the last little bit just always makes the laughter rush right out of me!

  4. Oh I wish I had thought of that comeback. I still struggle with vegetables eventhough I know they are good for me.

  5. Such a sweet, amusing post, Beth. I remember all too well sitting at the dinner table not wanting to eat my vegetables and legumes, such as lima beans, peas, carrots, black-eyed peas. At times, feeding them to Ponty, our cocker spaniel, who sat under the table begging. My mother never forced her children to eat things they didn't like. She just said, "If you don't like it, don't put it on your plate." But, now, as an adult, I love those types of foods. Cheers Beth!!

  6. Mom always used to say that it was OK to eat the burnt toast, and that it would put hair on my chest.

    Uh...mom...no thanks!

This was so funny. You know how to snag us unexpectedly at the end with the zinger. It made me laugh out loud. Which is dangerous, because I am SUPPOSED to be working!
