well, not blank blank.....

i've got nothing. i'm sitting here staring at my computer and my mind is blank. well, it's not blank blank. technically i believe it's impossible for a woman's brain to ever be blank, but you know what i mean. normally under these circumstances, once i bring up a few photos, my stubborn uninspired brain starts running around like a child hyped up on sugar, but this morning, nothing. well, nothing of importance.

let's see. did you know... that for the most part i hate commercials and think most of them are stupid and too loud. that i make my own chicken marinade and salad dressing. that the prepackaged chopped asian salad from walmart is my new all-time favorite salad to make for dinner {with the addition of grilled chicken breasts} and the only reason i will go to walmart. that i'm a target snob. that i am hooked on "the following" and now "hannibal." that my hubby hates both of those shows. that i took the screen protector off of my iphone which means without question, i will now drop it and scratch it. that my hubby brought me flowers last week and because i'm a green thumb freak and take care of everything plant related like they're babies, that they are still alive and beautiful. that my hubby never brings me flowers and that i love that he did. that working at our local food pantry {in which i work in the clothing center} makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. that we haven't seen any good movies lately and that makes me sad and that i'm overdue for a vacation?

  2. Hmm, a blank mind huh? Go see "42" the movie, you will love it, even if you are not a baseball fan, not to say that you're not.

  5. I can relate on these things at times too. Flowers, I can't remember when my husband brought me flowers. What a treat. Walmart, only go there when my aunt needs me to take her. Definitely overdue for a big, wonderful adventure of travel. I hope you are enjoying the sunshine today and soon have that adventure tucked into your camera.

  6. Having a cup of tea from Le Palsis des the (The tea palace), which is my new obsession. Sipping a biscotti into the tea, which has steeped in my new cute owl tea cup and saucer from TJMaxx. Trying to be with myself in the quiet moment and finding it a little lonely. So I am checking in on friends in Blogland while I sip...
Hope the blank fills with juicy inspiration.
    Big love!

  7. It doesn't matter how blank you are, your followers will always still follow. Still look for your photos and read your words, blank or not. I always feel overdue for a vacation. We would be entitled to vacation once a month if it were up to me! One can dream. :)

  10. most commercials are stupid!!! But then when they are good, they can be truly pieces of art. I keep thinking about the Bravia commercial...

  11. Wew, I'm out of breath. did you know that there was a law passed that said commercials couldn't be louder than the TV show they were interrupting. But they didnt specify that the WHOLE commercial had to be the same, so all commercials have to START OUT at the same volume as the TV show, but then they can get louder as the commercial progresses. Isn't that crazy.

  12. i am waaaay overdue for a get-away ... the following - in my opinion despite a good cast - jumped the shark several weeks ago ... i do not see how they can possibly have a second season ...

  13. Well, that's the first time I have ever heard that someone got a great salad at Walmart. I'll just have to look for that one :-)

  14. I agree about commercials, but I will tune in during the Super Bowl to see a few and then talk about advertising techniques the next day with my students. I'm ready for a movie, too. I'm way, way behind. Oh, and that's a sweet husband you have there. Flowers are always a good thing.

  15. I agree with you Beth, My mind never is blank...I look at my hubby and ask him, "What are you thinking?", and he responds, "nothing", and I say, your mind cannot be blank, it is just impossible to think about nothing, mine travels at top speed even when I sleep!. Also I have to agree with Deanna(above) go see 42, excellent movie, and I don't like baseball, but the movie, I would highly recommend. On a side not at the end of May my hubby is traveling to your home state for business trip and I am tagging along, he is going to the Lake Geneva Resort...is that any where near you? Would any of the other blogger/responders to your blog be in the area may 24-27 would love to get together and have tea, and chat? Beth

  18. I think it is solidly impossible for a blank mind to exist... but the worst? The absolute worst is when I am in a quiet space (like when I climb my mountain) and I get an ear worm! A stupid song that just replays over and over and over and over in my head, no matter what I try and do to shut it out! This happens so often that I don't dare listen to ANYTHING on the way to that mountain... because it will stick with me the whole time.
Thank you for listening to my little rant. I sometimes wish the brain had an on/off switch. Why can't inspiration for blog writing come as fruitfully as a stupid song in my head?
